That said, how would I have even seen/searched for those tweets beforehand, from some random people I don't follow? Not to mention, I always go out of my way to credit sources, post links, say I heard [whatever] on Twitter, etc. So why would I suddenly want credit for some random throw-away term on a message board about a Star Wars show? If I cribbed it from someone, I would have said as much.
Also, for the record, you post stuff all the time from Reddit, be it memes and sometimes copied and pasted text, without saying where it came from, or even implying you got it from somewhere else, as if you don't mind people thinking any of it's yours. So, you know, you're one to talk.

Has nobody used the name Black Krrsantan in this thread? Because that's who the BMF Wookie is.
Also for those who asked, Aphra rules and will definitely show up on D+ sometime. An Aphra series would be great fun. I'd have to double check the timeline but she could show up in a Solo or Landon series, depending on when they set it.
This series is informed a TON by the comics. Krrsantan is a staple there. Even little details like the black melons originate there.

My biggest disappointment this week is that I realized 22 years after I moved out of Moore Hall and Bonfire how much of a missed opportunity it was to not nickname some big, hairy guy Wookie. Of all the dumb/genius/nonsensical nicknames my friends and acquaintances had, that would have been one of the best.
Love this guys take on these. Some of these have been discussed but like always there's a few things he points out that are really awesome….biggest one I remember was more of the backstory on that big wookie and little hints they threw in to his costume.

Folks have mentioned how much this feels like a western (bar fight, stealing swoop bikes, train heist, etc.), but I also get strong Lawrence of Arabia vibes as well. The sand people are basically space bedouins, and the desert landscapes, the tribalness of the sand people, the dancing in the robes, receiving a ceremonial weapon, and, yes, the attack on a train are very reminiscent of that movie.
Feels like a real Lawrence / western mashup in many ways.
