her book and her comic. both so blah.

they are trying to create a Boba Fett 2 - a cool looking character first, and then backfill the backstory. Except in this case they went with boring.

Come to think of it, where did R2 go? Did he go with Rey on the Falcon? I don't remember seeing him.

So real talk. How do they explain Leia not being in the next one. Luke I think will be a Force ghost of some sort. Hell he could project his image across the galaxy.

I've come around a bit on Kylo Ren after this movie. I was afraid he really was going to "turn" after he killed Snoke, and then where were we going to be? I don't buy Hux as the supreme power in the Galaxy. Was glad to see Kylo just trying to seize power.

Wasn't a huge fan of Admiral Laura Dern, but she ended well.

Enjoyed all of the lighthearted stuff but think they might have gone overboard a bit with the comic relief.

I want to let it marinate a couple weeks and go see it again.

he could have just transcended the physical environment.

He is not dead, just one with the force. Literally. And not in the dead sense.

My favorite moment was the visuals on the cruiser ripping through the flagship at light speed. That was pretty cool

Rey and Kylo was really well done. Liked how they managed to have Kylo go against Snoke and temporarily team up with Rey, while still making him more evil. Was temporarily worried they'd try and redeem him. Also, really glad Rey wasn't anything special, in terms of some chosen one like Anakin or anything. Really interested in how their connection plays into IX.

Also, they teased Poe/Rey at the end, right?

Luke was great. Mark Hamill was at his best. God bless him.

What I didn't like: Finn/Rose. Or Rose at all really. From the minute they introduced her, from when she quickly went from crying over her sister to the "oh you're THE FINN' groupie, just don't think they made the character very appealing.

Might be one of the coolest visuals pulled in a Star Wars filmed. Remember back in Ep. IV when Han says they have to make the calculations for the jump to light speed so they don't hit anything like a planet or a star. Now we know what happens

People lost their minds with that scene in my theater. I love how there was no sound for 8-10 seconds.

I agree about Rey having a sorta trailer trash background (nothing special). That was well done.

Mark was perfect. I felt like he was a combination of the Luke from ESB were he is unsure, and frazzled because of his low confidence, and also kinda smart-ass like ANH Luke... At least until the end when he showed he was Luke Friggin' Skywalker.
