So I haven't watched a lick of this season. So far, I have no regrets, but curious if you guys are finding this season compelling.
I still find it compelling and I didn't have a problem with last nights episode but I wish they would wrap up some story lines. For example, I don't feel like they closed out the Wolves story line. They spent all of season 5 hinting at the existence of wolves and then they have a big role in season 6 and then disappear. Also Enid's character is still somewhat of a mystery. I'm cool with mystery but not those that take several seasons to solve
Technically, everything after the Governor has been kind of a repeated story line....which is why I'd like to see the show start to come to a resolution. Then focus on a new series and storyline with all new characters. Kind of like Fear TWD except without sucking.Quote:

Enid got a whole episode last season, didn't she? She's just a loner. If you think there's more to it, then you might be giving the writers too much credit.
In my opinion, this week's episode was one of the worst of the entire series.

Right now, the writers are turning up the sadness and overpowering might of the Saviors to an 11. It's making me wish for more Kingdom specific storyline. Seems like next week will show more of the world HOPEFULLY outside of Neegan's control.

How are actors paid for a series like this? Is it per episode they appear in? Or is it just a negotiated amount for the entire season? Seems like only 1/4 to 1/3 of the cast appears in each episode. Carol and Morgan have only been in one episode. Daryl in 3 but barely.
I was just reminded of my biggest LOL moment from last night's episode. Coral throwing darts and missing the board every time. I mean really what a lame ass way of showing us how poor Coral is having to adapt to being one-eyed. Cheap sitcom depth perception gag not based at all in reality. I'm pretty sure I can close one eye and still hit a dart board.
Come to think of it maybe that's why he had to wreck the car to kill one walker. He couldn't trust his aim to stab it in the head.

It is painfully apparent that no one on the writing staff has any military background. Everything from walking through the woods without a care to dealing with rival groups. If one or two members of any group had any, real Infantry experience, well...
And, yes. I am one of those guys who watches a TV show or movie and am torqued about all of the mistakes (rank, weapons, salutes, uniform, etc...).

Coral sucks at everything else he does, it's not a surprise that he sucks at darts too.

Coral says he watched so that he would be able to kill Negan if he had the chance. He had a gun in his hand 5 feet away from him a couple episodes ago and he chose to give it up. I realize this is from the comics but they easily could have taken out that stupidity.

12 episodes from now, we'll get a scene of Coral hitting the bullseye over and over. And they'll flashback to him hitting the wall, so we can remember how bad he was. Maybe they'll even mix it into a Rocky-type montage.TAMU_91 said:

EW reports that the show has fallen sharply in the wake of its seventh season premiere last month, and has declined steadily each week since to mark the steepest ratings fall in the show's history.
In fact, Sunday's fifth episode of the season delivered the show's lowest viewership since the third season. Viewership fell from the incredible 17 million viewers who tuned into the premiere down to 12.5 million for the second episode and has fallen to 11 million by the fifth. That marks an even steeper drop than the show's fourth season early episodes.
