Oh I witnessed it and I loved it. In fact, first zombie apocalypse that hits us and this will be one of the first things I set up for my Go Pro and subsequent YouTube posts.
I honestly have no idea what Carol is doing. I do remember the random person that saw Rick at the boat, and I think Gabriel ran into something on that trip he was on.....but the idea of him and Carol working together on something like that is out there.
And I'm predicting that the Heath character never shows up again. He's the new main guy on the 24 reboot....doubtful he's shooting two shows like that.

This is Carol in Season 5 when the Wolves made an attack on Alexandria. It looked very similar to the attire this group is wearing.
You can also see this look on Carol when she storms Terminus just after being on her own for who knows how long. I think this is when she connected with this group.
Carol spent time on her own after getting "excommunicated" it would be fitting for the "excommunicated" member to be building a group with the priest who also in a sense has excommunicated himself, for a triumphant return.

It did not sound like that is the case on the clips from next week. Not saying Gabriel is not with the group, but if he is I don't think he has fully convinced them to join Rick & Co. just yet.

Happened in the Georgia area, IIRC. Terminus was still in the south. Alexandria is on the out skirts of Washington DC, and I would assume within at least 1-2 hr from where this new group is.

Saviors push Ezekiel too far in the next episode causing him to rethink his decision.
Rick will have to throw his English/Southern drawl on the leader of the new group to get their help to take out the saviors.

Boot-wearing creeper was shown in the "extra" scene at the end of mid-season finale, looking at Gabriel through binoculars and then hopping the fence. Same boots as the one's watching Rick and Aaron.
