I hate this episode and I haven't even seen it yet.

It was a decent episode, the show is moving way too slow though.

That episode sucked. This whole show sucks. See y'all next week.

I'm about to abandon it too. Carol is the worst. They play her up like a super hero, like her coming back is the difference.

Wow, could the foreshadowing of that kid getting killed have been anymore THICK?

That Morgan story line made no sense.

This entire spring season has been filler to get to the war.

The series is really in need of an infusion of interesting characters. You can't kill Glenn and Abraham and replace them with mullethead idiot Junkyard lady and a bigger role for Rosita. Those characters totally suck and would have been walker bait after 1 week in earlier seasons.

Is it too much to expect the writers to bring in another character as good as Hershel?

The pathetic thing is that this is one of the most profitable shows on TV, yet they go out of their way to only have a few cast members per episode to keep costs down.

This will NOT work as they move into the All Out War storyline where everyone needs to be on deck.

For many seasons, this show has shown it cannot or is not willing to allow the full cast to interact in ongoing storylines.

The next one will need everyone around almost all the time. If they try these pathetic cost-saving hijinks next year, the show will collapse on it self. It needs to be big and broad next year, and I feel the showrunners no longer have that ability.

Better than last week

But that's not saying much

This show is the tv version of the pre-shot clock era, four-corner offense in basketball.

Agreed, If they try more cheap ass blue screen CGI to create a big battle scene I will throw my Shiner Bock through my tv and send AMC the bill.

The producers need to hire Miguel Sapochnik to film the all out battle scene with the Saviors.

She's far from the worst, but you're spot on. They're making her out to be Ahnold or a "Clint Eastwood" type of bad ass. It's laughable.

They are losing me, these shows just keep dragging on with no end in sight.

Been a consistent supporter of this show, but this season has been awful. Almost as bad as Fear.

Haven't seen it yet - looking forward to it after all these 'glowing' recounts.

I'm more entertained by the ever-changing tone these threads have taken (ala Br-Ba style), as opposed to the actual show.

See ya'll next week!

I thought it did. Losing the kid finally broke Morgan. He trained him and taught him. It was the closest he'd been to anyone since losing his son. He was killed needlessly. Morgan had already been flirting with ditching his pacifist mentality. That pushed him over the edge.

I'm glad he finally broke. His character was boring.

Exactly. I thought it was fairly obvious.

I'm convinced that half of the people who post on this thread dont really watch the show.

Well, to speak for the ignorant masses -> obviously, I get what they are trying to do with the character. Who wouldn't? My issue is that the swerves have been too ridiculous and extreme. Writing on walls crazy to can't kill a fly back to potentially writing on walls crazy again is just goofy.
bonfarr

Thats where I am, if any survivor of a zombie apocalypse where humans are at war massacring each other over scant resources starts espousing zen like pacifist ideals I would shoot him in the head immediately to put him out of his misery.

Morgan reminded me of Stars Wars kid when he started flipping out in the street and kicked the bucket over, revealing the hidden melon.

Yes some slow episodes this season to build up to the inevitable war with Saviors. But looking forward to it and hoping it is an extended battle over many episodes.

If they drag this out and essentially leave the final battle with Negan as a cliffhanger to start next season, I think they will lose viewers. This second half of the season has been too slow of a burn for them for them to end on a cliffhanger/not resolving the Negan situation.

Then be prepared to stop watching the show, heck might as well stop watching now...

Actually, they may leave the START of the war with Negan as a cliffhanger to start next season... The actual war with Negan will probably span all of next season, with the resolution coming sometime the season after that.

I think that's probably the most likely scenario.

Negan to good of a character to kill this season. I also think will carry into all of next season.

So Ezekiel wasn't convinced that they needed to fight the Saviors after Ben was killed, but instead went home, got another cantaloupe, and delivered it to the saviors the next day. It took Morgan killing Richard with his bare hands (while everybody watched like it was a game of cards) and outing Richard's entire plan that finally convinced him?

So Ezekiel had to think: "Thanks Morgan for exposing Richard's plot to trick me into starting a war. I guess that means I should start a war now!"

I think that is the tragedy here. Ezekiel was on the path to war regardless.

I still laugh every time I see the Kingdom soldiers in shoulder pads or dirtbike pads, it's so ridiculous and pointless.

Actually, so many people have died from weak Walker bites, that for me, It would be mandatory to wear armour any time leaving a particular compound. I find them incredibly smart for doing so.

Yes if a walker was trying to bite you on your pectoral muscles or the top of your shoulder. I would imagine you are far more likely to get bit on your hand, arm, ankle, or calf. Wearing a baseball chest protector is worthless when that happens. It would be smarter to just wear a thick leather jacket and leather gloves with duct tape covering weak points.

Or like in world war z when he duct tapes phone books around his forearms

All you people complaining about this show, but yet you continue to watch it every week. It's a choice. Stop your DVR or change the channel.

Secretly, I think you enjoy it.

It's more like trying to walk away from an 8 year old project that I've sunk a lot of time into. Even though it's in the ditch, it's still hard to walk away. And this show does have a history of poor stretches followed by entertaining ones, which sparks a little hope.

That's where I am. I've committed all this time and I want to see it through. I actually did enjoy the last episode, but I no longer watch it on Sunday nights.

Not that it would be easy to get ahold of, but the book "World War Z" has a bit where one group of survivors is wearing chain mail or shark bite suit? Pretty smart really. I'm surprised other than the kingdom no one else has decided to try some sort of armor.

Also Morgan sucked until the end of this last episode. Glad to see the "killer instinct" kick in. And the worm. Are horrible too. They need to die off sooner rather than later
