So next years opening day roster we will have upgraded from Castro to McCann, Rasmus to Reddick, Valbuena to Bregman, and Reed/White to Gurriel?

I haven't been following. What's the status of Kemp and Hernandez?
My guess is whichever one does worse in the offseason/spring training gets sent back down to AAA. With signing Aoki and Reddick, no need to keep both of them.

Gattis actually hit really damn well as a catcher regardless of R/F. He did do better vs L, but still carried Castro and whoever else we had at the position.
Overall I would say we got better, especially in the outfield.

He only led his competition in OBP, SLUG, OPS, wRC+, Runs, and WAR. That's all. And you better believe he would had led in RBIs as well if he batted in betts position in the Red Sox line up.

Either one can be a trade piece for a starter or a power hitting 1B.
Nice thing about these moves is that we didn't give up any solid pieces so it allows us to put a package together for one of those two things.
Stros are much improved in the batting order from this time last year.

If we do anything else in the rotation, I'd like to go get one of the Rays' lefties. I'm afraid the asking price will be high, though, as in wanting one of our top arms.
