Because that's what Manchester City is. They are owned by the sovereign of Abu Dhabi. Fulham fan here. My method for picking them was very scientific - I was in London for work, decided to stay a day longer to go to a game, and of the two options that worked with my schedule, Craven Cottage on the Thames was the coolest, most historic venue to see in person. Had a great time. That said, it's a middling team unlikely to do much and relegation is more likely than finishing 1st, but whatever. I was only looking for a casual follow anyway

In the red corner, the simplicity of an ancient melody praising the archaic concept of a king.

In the blue corner, an aggressively busy and militaristic anthem, quite fitting for a world in which war has not yet gone out of style.

The Mexican anthem at the Azteca has got to be an amazing spectacle, but it's just not very good. Ladies and gentleman, your winner, the King!

This is going to be a defensive struggle where Mexico takes an early lead and England manages an equalizer late. The game ultimately comes down to penalty kicks, where to the horror of the crowd, England for once prevails.
