Good, albeit ugly win at a tough place to play. Villa definitely played way deeper than they did against Brighton last week and it didn't help that they were allowed to kick us all night.

Very weird for Gyokeres to not play a single minute in the first 2 matches. Havertz didn't have a great game. Eze and Bruno helped changed the match quite a bit. Selling Martinelli is going to be a mistake. We have no pace in the team now.

I think Arteta is punishing Vik for shopping himself like he did when Gabi was flirting with Saudi. Think Vik starts seeing min as soon as the window is shut.

That's youth. Takes a couple years of regular playtime to work out those kinks and become more consistent.

Amusing part is that he is going to Sunderland for 30m. From what I've read, Arteta wasn't convinced. If that is accurate, I am ok "missing out".

Same. Again I'd rather keep cash ready and be prepared to go big in January if there is an opportunity.

The online meltdown and fallout of not only not getting anyone in, but also I'd say obviously weakening our attack is gonna be very loud. Moving Trossard and Martinelli on, 2 proven solid PL players and bringing in a, prospective guy from Belgium is going to be a massive risk and incredibly underwhelming.

I realize we went really big for both Vini Jr and Alvarez, and while I applaud the endeavor, it still leaves us really short.

The amount of players that truly improve us is very, very short. But yesterday was a definite showing that we are missing the Martinelli speed to beat the high lines when we do go ahead in a match. We have to be one of the slowest teams in the league.
