According to the New York Times Vinicius Jr turned down Real Madrid's offer of 20 mill per year NET.
That's just below 400k per week AFTER taxes. In England that would mean a pre-tax wage of approx. 700k a week.
Other than City, no team in England will pay those wages.

Tom Canton posed an interesting question on his transfer daily show.
If you could do a deal where Arsenal trades VG + 60mill, for Julian Alvarez…do you do that deal?

Ramon Alvarez de Mon (tier 2) says Madrid and Vini are about 7m euros net (15m euros gross) apart in contract talks, and this hasn't changed for a year now. Abraham Romero (tier 4) on the podcast saying very few clubs have shown interest in Vini as yet, basically just Saudi and Arsenal. Romero is cautious but thinks Vini will re-sign.
Quote:
Sergio Valentin (tier 2) is saying Vini wants to renew, Madrid want him to renew, but they've been deadlocked for so long that he thinks he'll be sold. Vini's reps have been delaying and delaying, then Vini wanted to see if his world cup improved his position. The gap between the two parties is very wide, and this hasn't changed so far.
Says Madrid have told Vini's entourage that if there won't be a renewal, he needs to find offers from other clubs. Also says he doesn't think Madrid will be able to sell him for a big fee because they really want to avoid losing him on a free. Madrid sources have told him only three players are untouchable: Mbappe, Jude, and Valverde.
Quote:
Mario Cortegana (Tier 1) says as a potential price, perhaps 100m euros might be a guide. He thinks the only way a transfer gets done - assuming he doesn't re-sign - is if Madrid lowers its price. He believes 'approval at all levels' in the Ornstein tweet means Arsenal have contacted Vini's agents to meet the price they're asking.
He suggests that he thinks Madrid have been spooked by the risk of Vini actually leaving, and have gone back into the market for Rodri and Diomande to bolster themselves against that eventuality.
Says both sides will have to give in to reach a compromise, but thinks Madrid's hands are tied. Suggests if Vini doesn't lower his demands, Madrid really can't afford to give him what he's asking for, especially considering the prospect of Bellingham and Mbappe's eventual renewals on the horizon.
Says he's starting to have doubts about his renewal based on how Arsenal are moving, though it's in Vini's hands to make his decision. Says Vini could try to leave on a free, but the Madrid party line is only renewal or sale.

I think you should have more than zero interest but I can understand the worries around it. Still, his quality is probably going to be at a level the next 4 or so years that I think you have to "take him" if you can.

Sticking my neck out a bit here & definitely not trying to be an ITK, so please don't shoot me if I'm wrong.
Just had a call from a friend who is a photographer for Madrid;
Vini Jr has declined his contract renewal & has asked Madrid to accept Arsenal's offer.
I've been told it's ~110m all in (add-ons etc), with a wage of 350k for Vini, offset by his 100% image rights in the UK.
Again, it's only what I've been told by a buddy. I don't want to get anyone's hopes up too high in case it's not 100% correct.
Just wanted to pass on what I was told.
1) A photographer would have the info because they're part of the media team & if Vini was to accept, then they'd be required to come in the next day, take photos & prep the Official Communication post.
I'm not sure why he knew the specifics of the deal from Arsenal's side but that was what I was given.
2) I don't claim this information to be 100% legitimate. I've known the guy for years through work essentially (I'm also a photographer) so I personally trust what he has to say, but I also know he wasn't exactly sat in the negotiations room. He was told by one of his colleagues too.
3) I'm just as hopeful as the rest of you. That was why I passed the info on.
If it's wrong, then I got fooled too.
If it's not, then we're winning it all.
At the end of the day, I'm still waiting for the Ornstein Bomba like the rest of you before I truly start believing
