So the JA for VG + cash was premature but realistic. I'm torn. Like JA but prefer him at LW vs ST. I like having a bigger, stronger, physical 9. Would rather not go back to a false 9 setup.

He's been hurt similar to Saka. Only playing in short stints I believe.

Whoever we bring in, Cristos Tzolis or whoever, better be a hit because that leaves a big hole on the roster.

Talk about a guy who far exceeded the expectations surrounding his transfer. So many were despondent that we didn't get Mudryk and so were a little down on Leo. That guy paid us back in spades. I believe that selling him is the right decision but he will be missed and there will be a game or two when we wish we still had him.

Best of luck to him, outside of UCL games against Arsenal.

I'm still struggling heavily with the idea of Rogers as a LW or "Central Attacker" for us. I don't see what he brings centrally that is better than MO or Eze and he isn't really a natural W. Alvarez on the other hand.....

Those all make sense to me and I can see how each could be used in different situations to make us a better team. And it technically can be done without getting rid of any of our current "star" players. Sign Alvarez primarily as a LW with the idea that he can/will be used situationally as a F9 or SS. Then make sure you have a strong enough backup LW that can make it all work without a drop off.

There has been smoke about Saliba having surgery after the WC and likely missing Aug & Sept. Whatever happened today, hopefully it doesn't make the issue and/or recovery worse.

Thank goodness we won it because we're probably not going to be at full strength until winter and it already feels like next year might not be our year regarding the EPL

Hopefully, though, we will be at full strength when the Champions League gets serious.

No its not. Once you start messing with the back, it'll be a problem the rest of his life. Mosquera is the obvious short term option, but I think we will definitely need another right sided defender. I don't think you sell Ben White now. Looks like he's already back in training, capable of playing RB/CB and knows our system inside and out. Still no word on Timber these days.
