I think we need a new RB regardless (I really want Kayode) but I've started thinking yesterday if it might make sense to use White as a CB/RB super sub next season and then reassess next summer. Could raise his value if we can keep him healthy. Plus, as you said, he knows the system.

And when he's heathy, he so good and opens things up for Saka. But that's when he's healthy and I don't remember when that was unfortunately.

Back ain't much better.

No its not. Once you start messing with the back, it'll be a problem the rest of his life. Mosquera is the obvious short term option, but I think we will definitely need another right sided defender. I don't think you sell Ben White now. Looks like he's already back in training, capable of playing RB/CB and knows our system inside and out. Still no word on Timber these days.

Didn't Timber play some for the Dutch in the World Cup? Might not be ready immediately to start the season but should at least be able to get some minutes

Timber went to the Dutch training camp but left before the World Cup started and was replaced on their roster

No he pulled out of the Dutch National Team before the World Cup started. His twin brother played.

Tuchel getting ripped for lack of aggression and offensive players.
Am a bit surprised Saka never stepped on the field.

I was driving home after and was confused that I couldn't remember anything about Saka.

Declan Rice and Saka should not go near the field in the 3rd place match. Hoping they're gonna be OK after a little time off

Hr absolutely should. He played the 2nd half trying to finish 1-0. Even had 6 defenders on the field at one point. You can't play like that with a team offensively gifted as Argentina.

He really does look like a Leo regen. Saw a stat elsewhere that he is leaving the Belgium league at the exact same age as Leo but has almost twice the G/A in his last season.

Quote:

The Christos Tzolis deal could save Arsenal around 7.5m per season in fixed wages alone.

Tzolis has reportedly agreed a contract worth 3m per year, roughly 58k per week. Trossard was reportedly earning around 205k per week after his pay rise.

That is a difference of approximately 7.5m annually, before factoring in lower appearance, goal, assist and win bonuses.

Arsenal are effectively replacing a 31-year-old on peak wages with a 24-year-old on a much cheaper initial contract, while retaining room to reward him later if he succeeds. Tzolis has reportedly agreed terms until 2031, although the wage figures remain media estimates rather than confirmed club numbers.

Add the reported 18m sale of Trossard, and the squad-cost improvement becomes significant.

Wait...do you mean...we didn't get screwed in a transfer deal? Surely this can't be Arsenal!

He looks fairly creative, but also seems slow and not a very good finisher. I know nothing about scouting for soccer though

back injuries are really tricky and hard to ever fully recover. have a very bad feeling that he may be washed.

This past year I had a young athlete find out that they have been playing for about five years with a fracture in their back. No surgery was required, which is crazy but they've been out for about five months. I don't say this to equate the two but she'll be back to playing and the fracture can be weird in the back.
zgolfz85

Fracture probably better than herniation honestly

Yeah, hopefully Saliba can avoid the knife and get some prolonged rest and therapy. That he's been playing through it for awhile, I hope that means he it is such a fracture where he can avoid needing stabilization surgery or something more invasive.

Never accept the 1st offer. Just don't play hardball for someone you really NEED to move.

Heck, I'd sell him to Milan if they'd offer to provide the pasta at the training center for the length of his contract.
