Meh. If you believe Fabrizio Romano, Real were insisting on two clauses, a buy back clause and a pre-emption clause, both of which United refused to do, and Spurs included both on top of the 30mil euro. As much as i would have liked a solid LB, i'm ok with Woodward telling Real to pound sand on that.

as for Bale? Meh. I was never a fan of United always being linked to him. I just question how much his heart is in the game still. I realize Real has talent everywhere, but how the hell he could never break into solid PT there is beyond me. Maybe a change of scenery will do him some good.

Reguilon would've been a great pick up IF the buy-back clause wasn't an issue. I do think passing on a player like Thiago for so cheap might've been a mistake, especially if Fred or McTominay don't step up their game this season. Not really unhappy about passing on Bale

i'm just saying. United's MO lately is to go after a big signing. dick around with it for way too long and miss out on other pieces and good deals.

yeah, Thiago is a big miss. which is the SECOND time United will have missed on him. Supposedly SAF has him all set to transfer in back in 2013 but Moyes killed the deal when he took over.
