It's performances like these that just reinforce the sentiment that United aren't legitimate contenders especially now that City have found their form. We all know they're capable of stuff like this and it happens way too often for them to considered contenders. The only thing saving them are the insane dynamics of this season.

Just atrocious all around. Set piece goals, poor clearances, unable to break down teams sitting behind the ball and wasteful when we do have chances

Edited to add: another selection and substitution masterclass from Ole. Tuanzebe? Telles? Subbing Cavani for Greenwood instead of Martial who has been invisible lately

No transfer movement of note on deadline day but the club did manage to send some players on loan who needed the playing time and/or offload players who clearly don't have a future at United.

Chong, Mengi, Garner, and Pellistri are out on loan. Lingard is as well but Ole insists he wants him back for next season (I'm highly skeptical of that). Fosu Mensah off to Bayer. Rojo off to Boca.
