Mourinho rates Oscar higher in the #10 role. In addition, apparently Mata didn't do what he was asked when he came on in the game vs Basel. To his credit, Oscar has played well, his distribution has been excellent.
Still don't think Eto'o is the answer and wish we'd kept Lukaku.
The headscratcher is the continued deployment of both Hazard and Schurrle. Both excellent players, both like to play wide left and cut in on their right. Too many people trying to do the same thing (especially when Cole gets forward). Play one or the other imo.

And to their credit, Fulham are executing their gameplan (the exact same one they had against Sunderland) - force all the play wide, and use their height at the back to clear all danger. Chelsea don't have anyone big and powerful at the front, and so all the crossing comes to naught.
Halftime 0-0. The Chelsea did well putting pressure on at the end of a boring first half.

Man Torres looked fantastic today. Why can't he be consistent! Not having Mata out there is such a waste. He should start every game, for FKs and corners alone. Another meh game from Hazard. Way too much individual dribbling from him and a lot of our guys in the first half. Looked like a completely different team in the second half. Still not confident in how we are playing right now though.
For whatever reason Luiz and Mata seem to be done in blue. I don't get it, but I admittedly know less about soccer than Mourinho.

I know I shouldn't question mourhino but mata is the best soccer player on our team. Not even that close save lamps.

Those two should be starting every game if healthy.

I find JM's stance on Mata quite puzzling. Hiw can he not see gis value? The dude is nails & has been an assist machine. Hopefully he makes this transition into what JM wants. Fingers crossed.
