Lampard. Luiz. Ramieres. All attack minded players. All commonly caught forward when the opposing team breaks. Obi naturally slides into a more defensive posture to cover for them. It's basically the Geoff Cameron vs Panama role. He plays more defensive so that his partner can get up the field.

I'll give you that he's been inconsistent. But tbf, there are only about 4 guys on the roster that weren't inconsistent last year.

He might very well be on his way out though, now that Essien is back. I saw that he was linked to Galatasary a few days ago (would be another good addition to an already salty squad, imo. Don't want to see them in the CL).


I still have a photographic memory of him just jogging around in our back 1/3rd & someone like Ramires or even Hazard coming back to pressure the opponent.

Sorry for being so cynical towards Obi, but I just think his time has passes & it's best he parts with club. Hopefully not like Malouda...what a mess that was.

Galatasary would be a good fit. Reunite with Drog? Sweetness!

So that's Courtois, Van Aanholt, Kakuta, Marin, Delac, Kane, Saville and Bamford out on loan already...

We only have two keepers atm too. Wonder who we'll bring in? Anyone heard?

not even close to the same expectations on those two player. I think Luiz may have grown the most last season. He really found his form as the year went on.

Didn't we buy Luiz for 25 million pounds? Now Barcelona offers us 30 million pounds (35m euros) for him? Get real. After the season he had, there is no way we would let him go for some measly 5m pound profit. Especially when you realize we aren't exactly hurting for money.

Picked up a 24 hour ban on the baseball other forum. I guess Dre watches multiple forums...

Anywho, I can assure you that Luiz & Hulk are both staying where they are. The Chelsea may bring in another keeper &/or stud for the back line, we're good other than that.
