Tony pulis is the ultimate "no ambition" manager. If you're just happy to be in the PL, he's your guy. If you ever want to have higher ambitions than that, however, he'll never take you there.
This is Villa all over again. I don't see The Chelsea coming back.

This team, while very good, is still fundamentally flawed and I expect Mourinho will attempt to fix that in the offseason.
I think we'll see some major money thrown at one or more strikers. That is by far the biggest flaw on this team. Don't see the back line or midfield changing very much.

I read today that Ashley Cole, Torres, Ba and Mikel will all be sold this offseason. World class striker is coveted.

I'd love to keep Cole, but this a business and unloading him now makes the most sense. Very happy to see Torres and Mikel go. Mikel should have been gone 3 years ago.
Do we have any young strikers? I'd be concerned about depth if we sold both Torres and Ba.
But realistically I'd love that. Obviously the world class striker would start most games but Lukaku would get plenty of playtime to keep him happy as well, plus to push the starter.
As far as strikers go, who would the target be? I wouldn't want to push for Falcao coming off injury unless he blows it up at the WC (which would drive his price up and potentially cause FFP ramifications). I would have been ok with buying Gomez last summer but that option is gone. The only other name I can think of atm is Costa and I'm not a huge fan. Maybe Mandzukic if Pep is determined to go false 9 with Bayern?

Essien is gone to AC Milan.
Not sure about Ba and Lukaku, but I think Torres and Eto are gone after this year and the cash will be splashed on a high profile striker.
I assume the backline and midfielders will remain mostly unchanged, but I think Cech might be out in favor of Courtois. We'll see how he does against Barca today...
