I don't really care for the move. But it will only cost Chelsea 5 million. Really would just like to see Kaku get the playing time tbh. We have the attack to get him going. Dude will be a beast, but later than sooner if he doesn't get the PT.

Know this was likely a joke, but it was exactly this line of thinking that allowed us to catch up to or pass UT in terms of recruiting and perception in the CFB world.
As far as Sturridge is concerned, he just needed regular playing time. I was usually pretty high on his ability, specifically remember applauding Liverpool for making the deal. Too often we're ready to write off players because they aren't some sort of wunderkind by 17 and producing at the top flight by 20. Fans just need to have patience, a seemingly rare commodity in this era of instant gratification.
That said, Lukaku is better now and will be much better in the long run than Sturridge. Sturridge is a good player. Lukaku has the potential to be world class.
