Just confirmed that Roast is permanently closed.
I hate that for the owners. Roast made the best Old Fashioned in town.

heard contradicting information that the crust is indeed closed from the owner of Cantina Laredo. I think he owns the building there. Still holding out hope that its not true
Never made it there.txagg96 said:
Tyler favorite el charro on the ridge closing its doors permanently
Folks had been telling me how good the catfish was. We go to New Pier in White Oak, or Dukes in Lakeport a lot. both are good. We like catfish. Anyway we went to Bodacious on 155 and loop 323 . You get four big pieces and two sides for 11 or 12 dollars, i forget. They had a basket with 4 piece and one side for 9. They cook to order and serve them very hot. Not a lot of breading, and not greasy. We liked it. They serve it on Fridays and Sundays, rest of days are BBQ.AggieGunslinger said:
People actually thought Charro's food was good? We haven't been in a long while because every time we went the food was barely 1 step above taco bell.
OwlAgDad - Tell me more about this catfish.

Someone said it was already planning on closing but didn't have a final day nailed down until Covid hit. They ducked out under cover of the virus (not my rumor...just passing it along).
But yes it's officially closed.
