Tai Lee has taken over ownership of Madden's. Glad they won't be closing.

I tried Mad Taco and thought they were very good but they're miniature.
Try the pizzas at Mad Taco. Rarely do we get tacos there.

Gordon's Jewelers in Post Oak Mall is now closed. Noticed that there are around 10 vacancies in the mall. The shelves at Sears are just about empty. Is it next? What is going on at the mall? Hadn't been there in months. Last time I was there, there seem to be more stores in business.
Rent to sales ratio is terrible from what I hear.
Malls have been a dead business model for a long time. Major rework or doom is the future there.
Internet-based shopping has killed a lot of brick & mortar stores & especially the ones in malls.
I went to the mall for the first time in a few years for a specific Christmas present. They didn't carry it at Macy's or Dillards. Ordered it online, received in 2 days free shipping. It's dead.
At Grapevine Mills Mall today. Packed. It's Bryan/College Station. Having worked in Post Oak Mall for 10 years, it had dies out considerably since I started.

That mall has had no reinvestment into it in a along time.

Just got a press release that Wayback Burgers is opening a location in "spring 2016" at 1502 S. Texas, which would put it next door to the Jack in the Box, I think. I know nothing about them, but this is from the release:

Malls are not a dead format. The location and layout of Post Oak Mall just hurts them in terms of traffic. Wish they had gone and added additional restaurant pads around the periphery when they added BJ's and Chuy's.
Put a Starbucks in the mall, add some actually interesting stores, and it might be saved.

Went to Legoland Monday. Kids had an absolute blast. Would do great here. But that's a pipe dream.
