New hotel going up behind new LaQuinta Inn on Graham Rd & Longmire. Sleep Inn, I believe.
According to Bahama Buck's page, a new Bahama Buck's will be coming next to the Mathnasium on Fitch.
That's been in the works for about a year now. I'll believe it when I see it.
I saw a store closing clearance sign in the Anna's Linens by Kohls today.
Anna's Linens Inc. filed for Chapter 11 a week or so ago. Hundreds of stores nationwide are closing or having going out of business sales.
Anyone know the status of Papa Murphy's at Tower Point? There were rumors a year or so ago but haven't heard anything since.
It wasn't in the closing list, but RadioShack's mall location is closed. Lease could've lapsed for all I know.

love Papa Murphy's pizza. every time i make drive into Bryan to get it, i here the same thing. "we're trying to get the lease done". this has been going on for 2 yrs. Papa Murphy's coming to south college station is an urban myth as far as i am concerned, but the drive to get it is worth it. their pizza is best in town for the price, hands down.much more ingredients by far. yes, you have to bake it, but is that really that hard?
It's actually Church Avenue.

The guy told me that he cant get a loan from the bank to open up another store. That was a couple of years ago so i would assume its probably something along those lines.

Looks like the lobby is being demolished.
Swamp Tails is great. Finally got around to trying them. The redfish and crawfish etouffe are very good. The usual new restaurant service issues, but not too bad actually.

M-Beau is mediocre IMO. Remnant of Nawlins at SW and Welsh is worth a try. Take out only though.
M Beaux's is great stuff. It's gotten good reviews here and has 4 stars on all the review sites. Try the M Beaux Platter or the DC Platter or the Big Brother Special. The Remnant is good if you want your cajun food to go. I'd rather sit down and enjoy mine with a nice cold one.

Its not "cheap." You're likely to spend about $15-$20 for lunch, with drinks. That's for the specials. Gumbo, sandwiches run under $10.

Did you talk to the manager? No matter, more tepid dishwater catfish for me.
