I used an EE quilt last year and it didn't not agree w me. It was rated 15 degree and qcore on my pad wasn't bad (cant remember specific). I ended up having to sleep in every stitch of clothing i brought.Lungblood said:
Now that we've gotten that hanging chad outta the way, it's time for some gear upgrade talk.
Cutting pack weight has become a minor obsession of mine. My Timber Creek mummy bag weighs ~ 4.5 lbs and its nothing special. Ive pretty much decided to go with a Revelation Apex (quilt) from Enlightened Equipment. It's 2 lbs, seems like it will be much more efficient, easier to pack, and more forgiving if wet. Anybody have one?
Last year in Colorado archery season I ended up sleeping in all my clothes, with 20* synthetic bag. I even tried to use my JetBoil occasionally to get warm. It was sleet, snow, and rain the first three or four days of the season.shaynew1 said:I used an EE quilt last year and it didn't not agree w me. I'm going. I've been going in WY for the past 6 years, so I was excited to see there was a central TX chapter!
