Apparently two biker gangs met at Twin Peaks in Waco, one thing led to another, 9 or so are currently dead after the gunfight.

I bought my M&P Shield at the Cabela's right across the parking lot from there a few weeks ago.

I'm guessing that the Twin Peaks in Waco won't be around much longer.

Article I read said it was a local fued that went on long enough that this weekend Dallas and fort worth chapters drove in for the fun.

Police were there from the start. The bikers didn't care that there was already a heavy police presence.

Things had been getting worse for several weeks for the Thursday night "bikers night" at Twin Peaks, police had asked them to curtail the event but Twin Peaks refused.

I've heard the opposite. Waco PD SWAT and DPS were on scene and sounds like they shot at least one of the bikers.

If you've seen the numbers of bikers detained on scene, that didn't happen without large numbers of police already on scene. And the numbers dead would have likely been more than 10 had police not been on location. However, those bikers gave absolutely zero ****s and rumbled anyway.

Just got off the phone with my dad. He said Swanton is a good guy and is definitely doing the right thing by calling out Twin Peaks for not curtailing the biker stuff. Said he also wouldn't be surprised if it turns out the Twin Peaks is being funded by the Banditos. He said they spent a lot of time trying to run them out of Bell County, and they were mostly running drugs and prostitution.
