But they aren't us. They are foreigners with no connection to us. Donning the outer trappings of our society is just a trick to deceive us into the intolerable ****oo relationship. Like a ****oo evolving to lay an egg that more closely resembles the eggs of its primary victims. "I wear an outer shell that looks familiar, don't ask questions, give me the resources you secured for your posterity."

</snip>

Extremely salient point. They aren't us and they are seizing what is ours.

This is an extremely cynical view.
I consider myself more American than the heathens who think abortion is ok, and that its ok to murder your kids just because you have the sads.

And trans women consider themselves women.

So what does being American constitute?
Because being white is not it.

Having a shared European lineage is definitely a major part of it. There's a shared European experience going back thousands of years inextricably linked to race/DNA. It's why

It isn't just ideas, because you can have countrymen/kinfolk who disagree on ideas/beliefs but are still countrymen/kinfolk.

This might have some truth, in general, but deddog is a different skin tone than me and comes across as one of the best conservative, patriotic posters on here. Also seems like a Christian.

Our 5y/o daughter's Indian friend's parents are fully Americanized and devoutly Christian. Wonderful people.

Do I have some problems with the ones that refuse to assimilate, in particular the boomer aged ones who are rude as hell? Absolutely. But I think Asians/Indians, by and large, are a good example to other migrant groups on how to properly assimilate.

But I would trade ANY white liberal for the most non-assimilating Indian. Wish we could deport white liberals more than anyone, aside from maybe Muslims.

Indian Christians tend to be good people, so much so that the Hindus in India love to try to take advantage of them. I've known several Indian Christians and they were good people who loved this country. One of them is third generation (grandparents on both sides came from India) and she's is an awesome person. Red ass Aggie in the extreme (even after all the time since she graduated, she could still fill in for the Yell Leaders if needed), very conservative, Christian, and probably the only doctor of Indian descent I would go see without hesitation of I needed her specialty.

"I think we should allow Indian Christians in because I know a few of them and they are good folks".

This is just like Old MacDonald who wanted us to hand out green cards to Muslims "because Abdul down the street lets his kids play with my kids and his wife brings us delicious biryani for Ramadan".

Very naive and ill-informed take.

Why am I not surprised that is your take. /eyeroll

Got a logical rebuttal? If so, please share.

If you want to respond like an irrational woman, I will just let it whizz by.

Bo French created millions and millions of dollars of organically-created anti-Bo anti-MAGA anti-GOP content all over the internet. From what I can tell, a very small percentage of it is pro-Bo content, but it's hard for me to say for certain given that the algorithm feeds me more anti-MAGA stuff. Another thing that helps give momentum to a blue wave in November.

Maybe some of you MAGA guys can comment on whether your perception is the opposite. That you have seen a flood of support for Bo's view. Regardless, I think Bo's move here really does elevate him in the MAGAsphere.. He has gone from a nobody to now a "fearless truthteller." He will be platformed and podiumed in MAGA as a result of this down the line. Even if he loses what should have been a slamdunk win for Railroad Commissioner.

If we really had a way to align values and ethics and followed it I could be convinced of the creedal nation idea. But we don't, and we don't, and we can't. So it should be rejected.

The best way to do this, incidentally, is just time. Lots longer time before citizenship is possible.

It's not just whites who feel this way. Go talk to any non-Indian and the opinions are all the same.

Literally every single nation on Earth now holds the same opinion of India. The Japanese, South Koreans, Chinese, Americans, Latin Americans, Europeans, South Africans, Australians. Literally every nation on Earth looks at them like this because they don't integrate, they bring their own culture here and recreate India wherever they move. They follow the exact same pattern everywhere.

I see posts written in foreign languages constantly complaining about Indians that are identical to what Americans say.

Now you have pissed me off because either you don't know what you typed or because you don't know what a hypothetical is.

You asked me to imagine something to be true that we both know to be untrue. Textbook definition of hypothetical lol.

The issue I have with it is that you are equating America to heaven. You are equating God allowing someone in to heaven with America allowing immigrants in. I wholly reject this premise/equivalency.

Meant smiley emoji so we both can understand this to be cordial. I'm not actually mad lol.

Let's bring over more of these people and give them political capital in an already divided society.

Ro Khanna was spouting this anti-white blood libel after these hangings were confirmed suicides or committed by black boyfriends of the victims. So we have Indians allowed to immigrate and prosper in our benevolent country who then turn around and try to drum up anti-white racism.

I'm not saying all Indians are bad people, but I know what they'll be used for politically. Democrats want a society as fractured as possible so they can split people up into supposed victim groups and pit them against one another for their own political power.

We're not stupid. We can see clearly how immigration has been weaponized against Americans in our own country. We see it everywhere. In schools, work, politics, with the ICE riots, etc. Has nothing to do with racism and everything to do with what's best for the country as a whole.

And still, nobody has been able to explain why only European societies are obligated to import the rest of the world or how it benefits us.

If those kids and their families hold residency status in TX and their families work/pay taxes in TX, how is tu not working on behalf of Texans. In all likelihood, they were top something% and earned their way as an auto-admit.

After reading the OP, I am not even sure what the purpose of his post is. Are you advocating we should not allow people into ut who earned their spot on merit. Are you and Bo implying ut's class should proportionally reflect the demographics in TX and not merit.

Bo is an idiot for posting that. Most reasonable people in TX including Reps will imo think his post is unnecessary. This is how politicians lose normal people who are sick of the polarizers.

Also, how dumb are people to take one pic and make these assumptions. That demographic was definitely the minority in that stadium if you watched the game.

Texas residency requirements allow H-4 visas, the children of H-1B holders, to be considered Texas residents. That means we're allowing foreign students to take the place of American citizens. Our state universities should serve Texas citizens first.

I don't know what the ethnicity of the kids in those pictures are, but the Indian kids from my high school are totally American culturally and made it into Texas among other places because they were smart, had good grades in AP classes, worked hard and came from strong families that prioritized education. They ended up being...doctor, doctor, doctor, married to nationally renowned doctor (also Indian), Fortune 500 in finance, leadership of a very Texas-industry type company, PhD. I think half of them also married white people. They didn't cheat, they were just smart people from smart families. Not one bad neighbor, welfare case or America hater among them. They don't favor Indian culture because they've never or rarely even been there.

And now their kids are going to Texas as well because they've continued to prioritize education. I don't think anyone has any direct information that these kids wouldn't make it into Texas with a blind resume other than their resentful fantasies.

The student section in that picture looks about the same as it did when I had to sit there 20 years ago. When your opinions about immigration reform are triggered by seeing a photo of a handful of non-white kids watching a football game....are we really having the same conversation?

Hence you get absurdities like someone born here to parents who immigrated illegally yesterday is "just as American as me or you". It isn't true on any level, and if it is you've just redefined "American" in such a way that is so broad as to be useless.

Illegal immigrants are by definition un-American. They broke a pretty big law to get into this country, consume resources that could and should be used to work with those immigrating legally.

The legal immigration process is long (and should be). But what is kinda disappointing in that process is that it doesn't really try to make sure your values and ethics line up with American values and ethics. If you want immigration to be successful, that is the #1 thing to be fixed. That and consistently denying anti-American folks.

But how would you test for values?
Most non Americans with whom I talk about such things, it is clear that they most of them view America as an economic zone for jobs and wealth. They even have US passports but their hearts are where they came from. This is dangerous.

Absolutely. 100%.

Anyone who has a green card for over 5 years and not applied for citizenship should have their green cards revoked.

You absolutely do need to check social media. Anybody with anti-American posts should never get a Visa of any kind (and i don't care who the President is, you respect the office, not the person).

And you have to be able to speak English.

This. I also am tired of always catering to either Muslims or Jews...or giving them so much of our attention. We should be emphasizing focus on Christians. Christians from India, Christians from Nigeria, Christians from South America etc etc. Preferably young families.

As it is now, we don;t even really vet people. What good is diversity if it is a hindrance to unity? We start focusing on Christians and we will become more united and prove that racial diversity can work in the long haul, as long as you have the same priorities, visions and goals.

For those making a practical argument that more Indians is actually good for the country:
Quote:

The findings in this study are briefly summarized below:
[ol]
  • Indian Americans remain committed to the Democratic Party, but their attachment has declined. Forty-seven percent of respondents identify as Democrats, down from 56 percent in 2020. The share of Republican identifiers has held steady while the percentage of independents has grown. However, when considering independents who lean toward one party, the decline in Democratic respondents is perfectly offset by a rise in Republican identifiers. Despite this shift, the share of respondents who self-identify on the ideological left has grown since 2020.
  • Six in ten Indian American registered voters intend to vote for Harris. Sixty-one percent of registered Indian American voter respondents plan to vote for Harris while 32 percent intend to vote for Trump. There has been a modest shift in the community's preferences, with a greater share of respondents willing to vote for Trump since the last election.
  • There is a new, striking gender gap in voting preferences. Sixty-seven percent of Indian American women intend to vote for Harris while 53 percent of men, a significantly smaller share, say they plan to vote for Harris. Twenty-two percent of women intend to vote for Trump while a significantly larger share of men, 39 percent, plan to cast their ballots for him. When further disaggregated by age, this gender gap appears starkest with younger voters. In the cohort above the age of 40, more than 70 percent of women and 60 percent of men plan to vote for Harris. However, in the cohort under 40, 60 percent of women say they will vote for Harris, but men say they will vote for Harris and Trump in roughly equal proportions.
  • Indian Americans hold lukewarm views toward prominent Indian American Republicans. Respondents rate Indian American Republicans such as Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Usha Vance (the wife of Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance) unfavorably. However, there is evidence of asymmetric polarization: Democrats rate prominent Republicans worse than Republicans assess leading Democrats.
  • Abortion has emerged as a top-tier policy issue, especially for Democrats and women. Abortion and reproductive rights are a highly salient issue for Indian Americans this election year, ranking as their second-most-important policy concern (after inflation/prices and tied with the economy and jobs). Democrats and women are especially motivated by abortion this election cycle.
  • The Republican disadvantage with Indian Americans is rooted in policy. Although Indian Americans hold a dim view of many prominent Republican leaders, the party's disadvantage with Indian Americans goes beyond personalities. The data suggest that the Republican Party is out of sync with multiple policy positions held by members of the community. When Democrats are asked why they do not identify as Republicans, they cite the latter's intolerance of minorities, its stance on abortion, and ties to Christian evangelicalism above all.
  • [/ol]

Indians are pro abortion, pro mass migration, and anti-Christian.

We have to stop importing so many foreigners. I think most here agree with that. But now that they are here, they aren't even the worst among us sadly.

The Indian is far worse. They took a spot from a white kid who very possibly could have deserved it more but didn't get it because of affirmative action. Vivek is also a swindler who would have you believe he is Christian but is actually Hindu. Don't even blame him for it, it's just his culture.

I'll also point out those kids haven't really assimilated. Assimilation would be one Indian in a large white friend group. They are still ethnically segregated, they have just chosen to only interact with their own people. So it isn't assimilation.

We should be cleaning our house, not importing the third world while our house is in shambles.

I am a Christian nationalist that most liberals would easily consider "racist" (I'm not), but the white liberals are a much greater threat to this country than those Indian kids dressed like KA's, going absolutely nuts because their football team just won.

They are far more American than some blue haired septum pierced white girl who hates "the patriarchy".

In fact, if we are going to smash the matriarchy, we may need Asians and Indians and Latinos. We just need to vet for Christian/conservative ones. Too many white men, even on the conservative side of the spectrum, have become complete pushovers with zero influence over their wives. Completely fine with their wives vcasting votes for the Demoncraps.

By the way, most white women are a complete lost cause. Tainted goods. If you want a white woman, order her from Eastern europe and forego the torture of a compromised white American gal (obviously there are exceptions - usually Christian ones).

Didn't know there were other NXR or NCP listeners here.

I can usually make people flip their lids when I mention that I can listen to Joel Webbon, Ben Shapiro, Tim Pool, Matt Walsh, Dave Smith, Nick Freitas, or Brian Suave on the same day and agree and disagree with all of them on any given topic.

As extreme as the comment is I tend to agree with most of their complementarian takes and find it more compelling than most of their rhetoric.

    I don't think that's long enough, personally.

In the ancient model (like Athens) in most republics citizenship was hereditary and required both of your parents to be citizens. Some only one. Becoming a citizen would require some kind of exception to the rule, like a political grant. You could live and trade there but you weren't a citizen.

The more medieval and early modern republics typically had citizenship naturalization as a purchased event. Or staged - in Venice conditional citizenship started at 15 years for lower status (came with lower taxes) and full citizenship after 25, and native citizenship required three generations of residence.

Early France required several years residence plus some kind of attachment (property, marriage to a citizen, or a business).

But these are only kind of reference, because travel is so easy these days that its hard to even use the ancient times as reference, and our view of duty / loyalty to the state is nearly backwards from the pre-Modern era (no matter what JFK said).

I would be happy if it were conditional plus time, and I would add that the "vouching" or marriage would need to be to a natural citizen to prevent chaining.

This isn't anything new. Blacks, whites and Asians have always congregated in their own fraternities and sororities.

Great point. Blacks have been here hundreds of years and still haven't assimilated.

When my son applied to college, I didn't tell him to talk about how long ago his ancestors had come to the US if that's what you mean.

I expected him to be treated the same as all other applicants. Does that help?

And yes, I laugh at all of the ancestry.com. and at anyone who acts like their ancestry determines what they deserve in life.

I've always thought the "love" towards ancestors is a little silly. We can appreciate what some of them did but I don't have to defend or care about what they believed. They evolved beyond their ancestors and so do we.

Yet you lefties believe people should pay for the "sins" of their ancestors.

There is also no basis to believe we have evolved beyond our ancestors. The fact that half the population believes that men can get pregnant screams otherwise.

I don't believe that people should pay for the sins of their ancestors. So it appears your entire response was based on a faulty premise. But hey, your response made you feel superior. It was a false sense of superiority, though, because I don't believe in leftist ideas.

This is all well and fine, but you still haven't articulated why they're here and why we're obligated to take them.

There are good people all over the world. So are we under some obligation to import them all and immediately call them all Americans?

We have entire school districts, cities, etc completely overrun by foreigners in this country. You seriously see zero issues with that?

Look at Minnesota, look at parts of Dallas, etc. We have Somali gangs waring in Minneapolis. That's cool with you?

India has an entire subcontinent that's 99% Indian. Do you think if we were mass importing whites taking over cities and giving them political capital Indians would be okay with that?

Is there any limit to the number, or are we just supposed to take them indefinitely?

Correct but that has nothing to do with me or what I wrote. But never let a chance to insult someone go to waste, even if done so incorrectly.

For anyone who doesn't know or hasn't seen the information. Yes, 90% of all Visa applications from India are fraudulent. The entire nation should be banned from immigrating here.

I have non-Indian family in New Zealand. The mass migration of Indians there has resulted in a major political revolt as it should. They are not assimilating at all. You can surf the internet and find them celebrating their heathen religion and customs in public all over the country while the citizens are being sold out by their government.
