Clark is a phenomenal athlete. Seriously ridiculously amazing.

Cunningham is good at chick ball AND entertaining AND a great show(wo)man AND hilarious.

That's why she has everybody talking about her.

She was so much bigger and better than the other girls in grade school her parents had to carry her birth certificate to games. She was the enforcer as a 3rd grader for her older sister in 6th grade. I love this story. Great American family.

Someone never played football...... big difference in football at least here in Texas there are NO ROSTER LIMITS. HS teams can have 200+ players.

Nobody is taking a slot from anybody.

My HS had a 6 deep roster in some positions. Those guys never got to play but they were on the team.


ALSO OF NOTE - she only stepped in to join the team when the starting kicker tore his ACL. Sounds like they did not have another kicker and she was the best option. Again not holding anyone back.

And most importantly....she wasn't pretending to be a man. She was a female place kicker. There is no reason why women cannot play football with men. NONE. HTH

I've touched Sophie more than most you losers ever will. Okay, so it was a high five.

She's cool though. Was nice enough to take a selfie with my daughters before a game.

My wife is a bigger fan of hers than even I am.

How she kicked in HS games is kind of endearing.... it was not her intent.


In a previous rivalry game two girls from the crowd (one from each school) were picked to kick a FG for charity thing and they could win $500. She was chosen and made hers (supposedly 45 yards but who knows).

The next game their star kicker blew out his ACL. The HS coach actually came to her after seeing her kick that charity thing and asked her to kick. She thought they were joking. But he said they needed her.

So she practiced and dressed out for the last game (homecoming, where she was also in the HC court) and then their first playoff game which they lost.

She says she kicked 6 times FGs and XPs combined. What I've seen is she was 2/4 on FGs so who knows. She says the first was blocked due to the line leaving a gaping hole and she got tackled and got a scar from it.
