That's why I was asking if the wrap up was retaliation for an earlier play that the video implied wasn't called. The impression i got was that SC was going after a player that assaulted CC earlier in the same game and the refs swallowed their whistles.

You can have hard aggressive D and still officiate a clean and consistent game. Physicality doesn't have to be violence. Refs have to not suck though.

I miss the days when giant dongs were getting tossed on the court.

Good points. I was a little young to fully see what LB and Magic were doing but I do recall MJ in the 90's.

The game through the 90's was hard hitting and extremely physical. Battles in the paint were brutal. It's one of the things that made MJ so good and so hard to play against. He'd absolutely go toe-to-toe with the defense in under the basket, but he was also fantastic just pulling up and taking the shot from the mid-ranges.

You can have very entertaining and hard hitting physical ball, but his has to be officiated well. The whistles have to blow predictably and it's got to go both ways without exception.

Those guys were all ruthless on the court, but I've heard interviews that they all got along extremely well off court and had some brutal (but respectful) closed door games.

These gals in the WNBA are missing that part. It's just thug street ball that's barely one dribble away from a brawl.

Their coach is on borrowed time. When the two most popular players in the league want her out, she done…..as she should be
