These shows were never meant to be political propaganda shows yet Colbert and Kimmel both morphed their shows into that.

They are comedy / variety / celebrity talk shows. Yes, you would have guests who would get political on Carson, Leno, and Letterman, but the hosts themselves would generally stay out of those crosshairs.

These two self-important turds let their hubris get the better of them because the left infiltrated all of our cultural institutions over the last 50 years and they thought they were invulnerable.

In addition, these formats are dead anyway. Fallon may be able to survive now that he is the only one left and has never been as overly political as these two idiots.

Maybe you leftists need to consider that all of this backlash about celebrating a political assassination has nothing to do with Trump or Republicans, but because a majority of normal non-political or moderate people don't have the same view of Charlie Kirk as you do and maybe there's a chance that he wasn't at all what you have branded him to be so celebrating his assassination is repulsive to them.

But that would require some self-awareness, which you don't have or you wouldn't be a leftist.
