I side with Trump and Charlie Kirk on this issue, but what the heck is this? I heard the recording of him saying it while I was driving in my car. Need context, but whoa.

Also for context, the FCC's equal time rule Fairness Doctrine was abolished under Reagan. Equal time rule is for candidates.

From what I see currently, the criticism of the FCC chair is his abusing his power to pressure and censor people in the media who criticize or mock the president. Freedom of speech protects all speech, regardless of whether someone is offended by it. It sets a dangerous precedent that the president is aggressively going after those who portray him unfavorably.

Should there be a worry if the left takes majority in the next general election on voices on the right being "cancelled"? (Clearly that's already happened during the Biden years).

From what I've read in this thread…the FCC "abuse of power" isn't that at all, they are holding those accountable that are blatenly spreading misinformation….there is even a Hoax rule that can be used to justify these firings.

Did I get that right? Thoughts?

If you mean the FCC didn't weigh in, the FCC chair made public comments that amounted to a threat. That happened.

Did it impact the firing and should he have said what he did are really the only topics up for debate.

Something tells me you weren't so concerned when Fauci and the Covidiots demanded we all get some vaccine, or we weren't patriots...and that we needed to lose our jobs and have our kids taken from us.

Does he have the right to blatantly lie for political reasons to inflame people? I don't know that. The FCC doesn't think so. ABC could have fought it. They fired him instead. Looks like it was because the local stations dumping him. He and ABC should have fought it because many on Twitter and cable news think they would have won. They thought better.
