Huh?

Try telling the truth. Charlie Kirk was assassinated. Jimmy Kimmel lied about it. ABC fired him. Pretty simple. The left are not the victims here.

The Trump administration is certainly taking a page from the Rahm Immanuel school of not letting a crisis go to waste. Kimmel and other left leaning comedians were targeted for silencing and now the dominoes are falling. T&P for free speech. Democrats are licking their chops at getting to use this new, unconstitutional power that Trump has normalized.

WTF was 2020 and COVID then? Honestly, are you serious?

LOL

Kimmel is FREE to keep spreading his vile lies. You are free to listen and enjoy it.
ABC can fire whichever dumb **** they want to. And Kimmel definitely qualifies.

The rest of us are done with ridiculous democrat gaslighting.

Charlie was murdered for speaking the truth.
But Kimmel, only lied, and for that he was suspended. Clearly he's the bigger victim here.

The gaslighting is off the ****ing charts. These people have learnt absolutely nothing.

You're wrong. The Trump-appointed FCC chair pressured ABC and they caved. This administration has masterfully used the crisis to further divide our society and undermine freedom of speech. HTH.

ABC suspended him after two of their local affiliates went ballistic on them. Jimmy Kimmel was losing money, losing audiences, and his blatant democrat propaganda was flat out embarassing for ABC and Disney.

Your TDS blinds you.

But we get it.

Pure delusion. Normal Americans are tired of the hate by people like you. He straight up lied on national television and there was a reaction. ABC has managed to piss off everyone in the country. Incredible work by the CEO. almost as good as Bud Light.

It's crazy how many liberals, and even some conservatives, are framing this as a freedomn of speech issue. Since when do you have a right to just say anything and everything you want, without fear of employment repercussions? I would get fired from my job for way less. This is a man who openly fantasized about the unvaccinated being denied medical treatment by hospitals and dying painful horrific deaths. How the F was he not fired then?

Is there something I am missing? How is this a freedom of spech thing? It doesn't even seem like this is getting "cancelled". This is just being fired for being a disgusting hateful liar.

My wife and I were talking about this tonight. You can say anything you want without persecution by from the government, but you stupid sons a b*tches are guaranteed a job. Cry me a river. You celebrated the murder of a better person than all of you will ever be.

We're 26 pages in on this thread. There are videos of Brendan Carr point blank explicitly stating he had nothing to do with Sinclair and Nexstar pulling Kimmel which led to ABC suspending Kimmel. The FCC chair pressured no one. And this Carlin fellow comes in more than a day late and tries to start the straight up lies all over again. "T&P for free speech" my ass. Just turn on cnn or msdnc and skip to the end?

He is a lying piece of sh*t. And probably the greatest American has been murdered because of speech. The left is approaching a day of reckoning. Though I never met Charlie, I never knew Charlie personally but I grieve for Charlies family, wife and children.

Apparently he refused to apologize for the lie and was going to blast Disney execs in his next show. This just reinforces my hunch/thought that he probably wanted to be fired.

Becoming a 'martyr of free speech' to the leftist idiots with TDS will drive fans to whatever podcast/activity he seeks to do next, which might be running for office even, imho.

This might be the most accidentally genuine take on the whole thread. Fundamental rights are on the line and with each crisis stoked by the current administration they are gradually eroded.

Who do you think the Democrats will target first with this new power when it's their turn to control the executive branch?

Who is the new troll trying to spread Democrat propaganda once again?

Carr's response to Kimmell's idiocy didn't threaten a single entity. ABC fired Kimmel due to actions taken by Nexstar and Kimmel's refusal to publicly apologize for his insensitive remark -- which ironically is a refusal to submit to leftist doctrine.

Even if Carr's response was a true threat to ABC, you have to be brain dead to think this action is something new.

This wasn't a government pressured firing. It was broadcast companies like nexstar and Sinclair telling ABC they are pissed and dropping the show. That is the majority of ABC carriers nationwide.

Was he asked to push that narrative? What was his reasoning to bring up that lie? I think it should be investigated. It wasn't part of being funny and seemed out of left field.

The network could not afford to continue carrying a failed show with major regional outlets refusing to air a failed show losing ad revenue by the hour.

Easy to blame Trump; comes natural for a network waxing poetic about a relationship between an assassin and his ****** lover. But the numbers for Blackface Jimmy do not lie.
