The Trump administration is certainly taking a page from the Rahm Immanuel school of not letting a crisis go to waste. Kimmel and other left leaning comedians were targeted for silencing and now the dominoes are falling. T&P for free speech. Democrats are licking their chops at getting to use this new, unconstitutional power that Trump has normalized.
Careful, your hands will cramp from clutching your pearls so hard.
This was free markets at work, not imagined assaults on free speech.
TV stations threw Kimmel under the bus, not the Trump Administration
You're wrong. The Trump-appointed FCC chair pressured ABC and they caved. This administration has masterfully used the crisis to further divide our society and undermine freedom of speech. HTH.
No, YOU'RE wrong. Kimmel violated clear FCC rules by making **** up and gaslighting the public as to the motives of Charlie Kirk's assassin. Not as a joke, but as an absolute statement that is demonstrably false.
All the FCC chair did was indicate in an interview that Kimmel's behavior was worth opening an investigation concerning a clear, provable violation of FCC rules. In other words, the FCC chair was actually doing his job.
Your misguided claim of a first amendment violation is the same as alleging that a law enforcement officer is violating a law breaker's rights when an investigation is opened into a crime.
Sorry, Bud. It doesn't work that way.
