When did the Rs get an elite EV ground game? Fairly unbelievable and counterintuitive. Rs can't just fill out the nursing home residents ballots and bus the homeless into polling places, as the Ds got those tactics on lock. So how are they pulling this off?

Agree that the math is bad for D.

But the Republicans are almost certainly eating into some portion of their Election Day vote. I get that they have a bunch of first time voters. I get it. But a LOT of normal Republican voters have voted early this year.

Plenty of data in this thread that R's are getting their early vote from low propensity voters -- people who don't normally vote -- and are still well positioned for strong turnout on ED from high propensity voters.

Of course, the proof will be in the pudding. We'll know in <30 hours.

Not to be argumentative - but why do you believe R's have canalized ED votes when all they have done is match 2020 early vote totals?

Note - there has also been a net increase in R registrations as well as voters that identify has R. But ignore that; early votes are the nearly the same for R; D votes are down.

I'm sitting down to dinner and am not going to get in that debate. But it should be pretty obvious. Agree that it's a lot of low propensity voters. But you really think we not only found these voters but talked them into voting early. Without voting ourselves. That doesn't make any sense.

And the anecdotes are off the charts. The lines in Temple Tx this week voting early were not new voters.

Obviously there is some cannibalization, silly to think that there isn't but the bigger news is the underperformance of Dems voting early, which is their bread and butter. Any loss of ED voting by R's due to early voting won't matter because Dems have massively underperformed in their early voting.

Does anyone think the Dems, who always get outvoted by R's on election day, will suddenly show up tomorrow and blow it out? Seriously? I also don't want to hear about midnight ballot drops...where are those ballots coming from? This isn't 2020 with 35 million extra MIB's available to harvest nationwide.

Apparently it is silly to think that there has been.

The story is easy. Democrats aren't experiencing a mass psychosis aka Covid. So they are much less motivated and Kamala is much worse of a candidate then 2020 Biden.
