it's a spoiler in that we now know the world doesn't completely end at the end of s1.
or maybe it does and humanity's survivors become a space faring civilization!

SNL dress rehearsal is done immediately before the show.KidDoc said:If you want more information than you need, and to have a good laugh, listen to "Fly on the Wall" podcast.Ghost of Bisbee said:
I've always wondered how difficult it is to host SNL, especially if your background isn't in standup?
Do they show up, recite their scripted lines a couple times day off, and hope for the best?
Basically though they follow this schedule:
Tuesday- big table read through- go through all the potential scripts and Lorne and the host pick the top 10 or so.
Rest of week do some rehersals,
Friday do a dress rehearsal, Saturday during the day do a full run through that is filmed, then the live show.
They have cards with colored writing for all of the lines that they can just read off of if they want to. Walken is kind of infamous for just reading off the card unapologetically.

Considering how high budget it is, I wouldn't expect s2 for quite some time.
Will totally be worth the wait though.

Be careful out there, re: TV spots. I randomly saw a 15-second, HBO Max-produced spot last night on TNT after one of the NBA games and two split-second shots totally spoiled a big moment later in the season. Why they included those shots is beyond me, but it pissed me off.
Well now i'm curious what you guys are talking about...beagle2009 said:TCTTS said:

Had this happen to me too. Why tf would they put that in the preview when it could have potentially been one of the biggest moments of the show? Disappointing.

Uhhh, clearly a spoiler based on previously established parameters set earlier in the thread.
This isn't a spoiler.

I take it she had not evolved into a clicker yet. Clickers can't see because the fungus has overtaken their eyes. The fungus could still see through grandmas eyes.
if you want, come post what you saw on the regular thread to avoid it here….I went searching for the tv spot trailers on YouTube and didn't see anything that jumped out as a spoiler to me for the story so I'd say you're safeTCTTS said:

So I assume it's not the fungus seeing through Grandma's eyes, but the fungus is effecting the host like rabies. Makes them wildly aggressive in order to spread spores to as many hosts as possible. But rabies doesn't see through the host's eyes either.Madmarttigan said:

Yep, the open to the first episode addressed this. The fungus alters the host's mind to achieve its ends while keeping the host alive as long as its useful. It does not seem like it's able to take over and "see" or "hear" in place of the host.aTmAg said:So I assume it's not the fungus seeing through Grandma's eyes, but the fungus is effecting the host like rabies. I don't understand why some seem to be instantly sick and attacking (early in Ep 1 when they are attacked in town ) but others get infected, Tess and the little girl they checked halfway thru Ep1 and gave her a drug to kill her and threw her on the burn pile, and they're fine for a few hours.BowSowy said:Yep, the open to the first episode addressed this. I was curious why we saw that infected in the first episode who seemed glued to the wall, since it seems like all the other infected are able to move and attack. I guess there are some whose bodies no longer provide sustenance to the fungus and are killed.
The very first episode. They are driving in town, get in a crash and there are instantly sick people chasing them. The military shoots one of them chasing Joel and his daughter when they run into the field behind the store.DallasTeleAg said:
Who was instantly sick? Everyone we've seen so far slowly turned over time. If you pay attention, there is a sign in Boston describing the infection:
