Okay, I'll help you out.
How insane is it in a world that is probably having serious supply chain issues that they are wasting incandescent bulbs by lighting up their little commune with thousands of lights strung throughout town??
Luckily, I'm here to rescue the thread:Chuck Cunningham said:

I look forward to you not watching and then not posting afterwardsaTmAg said:
The rest of the episode was good though. Seems like Joel should be screwed and we are going to have to wait 2 weeks to find out. If I had to bet, they are going to have Ellie sneak back into the college, get some medical supplies, and save Joel with that.
Next episode looks boring as hell. I'm not interested in Ellie's mall escapade.
Oh, I'll watch. And I will post extra just for you.gigemJTH12 said:I look forward to you not watching and then not posting afterwardsaTmAg said:

its hard to post about this stuff bc of the game aspect but as someone who has no idea what happens in the game I agree...cant be dead.Definitely Not A Cop said:
The consensus is that Joel's not really dead here, right?
I doubt anyone can answer that either way without revealing spoilers from the game. Best just to keep that speculation until next episode.Definitely Not A Cop said:

I mean, isn't Pedro signed on for season 2?Definitely Not A Cop said:

I don't believe that they would just end it like that with Joel. The scene didn't have enough weight of finality.Definitely Not A Cop said:

so tempted to go to other thread to see if he is dead. DON"T DO ITGreasenUSA said:I don't believe that they would just end it like that with Joel. The scene didn't have enough weight of finality.Definitely Not A Cop said:

Plus, moving forward, I'm not interested in a show just about Ellie managing a mall Cinnabon.
A big part of these threads is guessing the future of the show. This thread would be boring as hell if it was just people saying how much they liked/disliked the previous episode.Kampfers said:
I see we've reached the "criticizing things before they even happen" stage of the thread
Maybe if we just watched the show and waited to see what happens, we would be left with a satisfying answer for why Joel either lives or dies. Idk, I know that's a lot to ask.

If he was alone in the middle of the Sahara desert on foot with no water, it would not be unreasonable to assume that whatever the show writers come up with to save him would be lame. One shouldn't HAVE to wait for the next episode to opine on that. (Even if you don't like it)Kampfers said:aTmAg said:A big part of these threads is guessing the future of the show. If you can't tell the difference between speculating on Joel's fate and criticizing the potential handling of said fate then I don't know what to tell you.
A) he might not live
B) if he does live, he might survive in a way that is wholly unexpected
C) just because you THINK you know what will happen does not mean that the showrunners will take the show in that direction
But yeah, let's all go ahead and whine that the outcome we THINK may happen isn't the outcome we THINK should occur. It's an argument that's endpoints only exist in your own head. It isn't discussion, it's pointless complaining.
It's a classic example of people looking for something to be upset about and it's a reason the vast majority of people here would be happy if you never posted on this thread again.
