Still don't understand why people stopped watching TWD because "it was too gruesome". I'd imagine that this show will get pretty gruesome at some point. Could turn folks away…
Non-stop violent cruelty is not creative and gets boring.Garhett_W said:

I just watched the first two episodes and really enjoying it so far. Ellie is a very unlikable character at this point though IMO.
She's teenager. They're all naturally unlikeable.

Full transparency: I am a non-gamer who knows SOME things about the game, but not a lot. I've been reading both threads and will continue to do so. (The other thread has been good with spoiler tags.)
But I will stop posting in this thread if you guys are dead set on people knowing absolutely zero about the games in here.

You're asking a Mexican to not say "we" about his own country. M'kay. (Let's keep that on the soccer thread.)
Really? No Walking Dead? World war Z? Resident Evil? Zombieland?Chuck Cunningham said:Brian Earl Spilner said:
Viewership up 22% from episode 1 to 2. That's massive.
If it keeps going this way it feels like this might be reaching into GoT level popularity.
Yep. Word of mouth from people who don't typically watch zombie shows will drive it higher.
I think the last zombie thing I watched was night of the comet in the 1980s.
And I'm digging this.

Like I said, i'm not a gamer but I happen to have played TLOU before. If people are going to get all up in arms over comparisons of show scenes to game scenes (without spoilers for future episodes) then they probably should just stay away from the thread entirely.Brian Earl Spilner said:
Take cover!
(There's a gamer thread btw.)

Nope. No interest.

I haven't listened to this one yet, but HBO podcasts typically are excellent and don't have spoilers. I'd assume it is the case here too.
There is no "don't post on both threads" rule. That's just dumb. Just don't discuss spoilers here. Simple enough. Since the creation of this thread, they aren't bothering with spoiler tags as much on the other, so be aware. (Haven't played the game)

or, those who have played the game, just post in the other thread. i don't see why that's so hard. you can still read this one. post your heart out on the other thread.Ghost of Bisbee said:
There hasn't been a single spoiler posted on this thread.
The trailer that has been playing on national media right now for a game that's now 10 years old gives way more "spoilers" than anything that has been said on this thread.
Someone just make another thread for the cavemen/women who are champing at the bit to call anything someone says a spoiler and be done with it.

Im just saying that mere allusions to the game are nothing to get up in arms about, unless of course there's a spoiler. Apparently some scenes in the show are near-verbatim to the game, which I think is cool.Chuck Cunningham said:barbacoa taco said:Like I said, i'm not a gamer but I happen to have played TLOU before. Why would we want to read comparisons to the game and show?
I mean it doesn't spoil anything per se but isn't there a thread for those that would care?

You sure about that?

I just don't see the point of even posting the comparisons here. No one in this thread wants to read them. They belong in the other thread.
