4 of the players that tested positive had been vaccinated.

Being vaccinated did nothing to prevent them being tested.

Being vaccinated did. Of prevent them being tested.


Only non vaccinated players were tested. Only after they tested positive were any vaccinated players tested.

Again, I think this is all stupid. But it remains a fact that this doesn't happen if State didn't have unvaccinated players.

Yes it is a fact.

The NCAA only tested nonvaccinated players. Those nonvaccinated players testing positive is what prompted the testing of the vaccinated players.

Again, this is all ridiculous. But it is a fact that if the entire team had been vaccinated, this wouldn't have happened because then no players would have been tested. I don't agree with this. But those are the facts.

What he's trying to say is that if the whole team was vaccinated, none of them would have been tested. He's not saying vaccinated players wouldn't test positive.

Lakeway, stating a fact can still be a dumb take on a situation. While what you are stating may be true, it does not mean that the rule that is in place is the right or best rule. You've made your point over and over, I think we get it. That being said, the rule is dumb. They aren't testing any fans, people who want the vaccine have had the chance to get it, and at this point everyone else is aware of and willing to take the risks if they are leaving their house to go to a baseball game (to play or to watch). Dumb rule, ridiculous outcome.

It did this afternoon for sure.

I'll watch tonight. Go State. Who knows. They may be playing for the title tonight if Vandy suddenly gets its own covid issues.

You posed a question: why wasn't the entire team vaccinated? Then you stated a fact. Then the poster said you can't see the forest for the trees and that it was a dumb take (referring to the opinion that the entire team should have gotten vaccinated, not the fact that that would have helped them avoid getting tested). Yes, it's a dumb take I agree with him.

How many players on the roster were vaccinated? If Pfizer says 95% effectiveness, and assuming the 4 vaccinated players had that vaccine, isn't this percentage worse?

They screwed up the tests and now NC State has to pay. That, or vaccinated people are all f***** and going to get sick.

I'm no vaccine apologist, but the point of the vaccine isn't to prevent infection but to prevent any real symptoms of infection.
