Yeah not doubting effort or speed. My comment is mainly because he jumped straight into the wall. Easy to say from here but thought he might be able to find the wall with his free hand and climb up a bit.

Statistics has gone beyond bunting other than in extreme situations.

Plus, in things like travel ball, parents pay a lot of money for their kid to play and won't let coaches make them bunt. It's sad, but that's how it is now.

That's a shame, it's part of the game. Probably parents who have no clue how to play the game. We used to have bunting practice and lots of it. I never remember seeing anyone hit in the face.

Yeah. It's too bad. Younger players (or their parents) need to learn MLB statistics about bunting don't apply to them

Well think about it. They want their kid to be the one hitting doubles and homers- they're far more flashy than moving a guy to second by way of sacrifice. I think parents know how to play the game, they're just selfish and think sac bunting is something those other kids should do.
