Yes, the game isn't over... but shows how quickly Omaha dreams can die. Zona had a chance to take game one against Vandy, and here they are a few innings later all-but-done.

For some reason I really dislike Stanford.

I dislike pretty much the entire Pac 12.

Not to belabor the point...

But there were 2 pitches called strikes 1 against tu and 1 against MSt. The one against tu, was right down the middle but low. The umpire had clearly established the low strike call all night, a dozen times before. He was actually very consistent about it.

The one against state was a good 4 inches inside and even lower than the tu strike. There were many more, but will highlight these 2.

The pitch in the bottom of the 9th to end the game was was100% over the white of the plate, that is not even a debate. was right of middle, but several inches away from the black. This pitch was significantly higher than the state pitch and probably 2 inches higher than the tu pitch.

I agree the last pitch of the game needs to be slightly better than your worst called strike, but, THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE FOR THAT BEING CALLED A BALL!!!!!!!!

It was a strike by itself and per the strike zone the umpire established all game, it was a strike 100 times out of a 100!!!!!!!!!!!!
