Yeah the general tone of this thread was how I felt last year. While we are still behind the big names, it's nice to be competitive and playing good soccer again...and it feels like there is a path forward

Champions League action today. I can sense the excitement.... I am not paying for B/R streaming so will have to follow through live boards. Should be interesting to see if they can actually score at home and beat up on some young boys....

At least we don't need a gift call of no red card on a leg breaking tackle to stay at 11v11 to qualify.

And we have Jim Rockford on our bench so we have that going for us.

There was one just as bad in the Spurs game and it didn't even draw a card. Ref just stood there and basically told the guy "no more".

Yeah, I've watched it a few times from different angles and I think VVD's challenge was definitely yellow-worthy, but a red would have been pretty harsh.

It is red in every level below pro soccer. Its red in most leagues, I would bet almost certainly in leagues with VAR. Yellow in EPL. And Yellow in CL/EURO/WC because of the money and not wanting guys sent off and teams at 10v11. You just don't see that play as a red card in those events anymore. And players seem ok with that.
