Three afternoon plays today. All Ligue 1 (French soccer) and pretty confident in all three.

Oilers -1.5 at Ducks: I'm not a huge fan of betting the puck line on road teams, but the Ducks have no motivation to win at all. They're very bad and want the number one pick. Oilers have dropped two straight and will take care of business tonight. I expect them to come out on fire and jump to an early big lead.

TCU +6.5 at Texas: This game will be a war. I don't see either side winning by more than two buckets so take the points with the Frogs.

Bucks -2.5 at Hawks: Always scary betting road favorites, but this is the last meeting of the season between these two teams and the Bucks have dropped the last two. They should be motivated tonight and they're clearly the better team. Bucks have also covered 67% of the time when they have a rest advantage which is the case tonight.

Samford -3 vs Wofford

I'm using this exact same logic tonight and taking the Avalanche -1.5 at Chicago.

Again, betting the puck line on road teams is always tough but I like this spot a lot. Colorado has been ice cold lately but they're beyond due to turn things around in a big way. They currently sit outside the playoffs but still have the first or second best odds depending on your book to win the Cup. What does that tell us? It's probably time to start buying them now that they're getting healthy and desperate.

The Blackhawks are absymal and have no motivation to win. Just like the Ducks. They want that number one pick this year and I don't expect them to put up much of a fight tonight.

Take the Avs -1.5 and don't look back.
