Adding Utah -10 at home against Oregon State. You gotta think Oregon State is a little deflated after last week and going on the road to face the Utes is a brutal spot. It's a bad matchup for the Beavers when you look at the strengths and weaknesses of both teams. I think the Utes should win by a couple touchdowns and cover this spread.

I need a big bounce back week. Last week was brutal for me and got worse once I placed some NFL bets.

The Washington/UCLA game will be one of my big bets for the weekend. I don't think UCLA is as good as their record states, but Washington's run D is suspect. It'll be a good game to watch regardless.

Some additions this morning...

Texas State +22 at James Madison: Yeah, I held my nose when I placed this wager but I think the spread is quite inflated due to James Madison's hot start. This is also a letdown spot after an emotional comeback win against App State last week. Texas State stinks but this spread should be closer to James Madison -16.5 in my opinion. I expect the Bobcats to do enough to stay within this number.

UMass at Eastern Michigan over 53.5: Let's keep this one simple. Eastern Michigan moves the ball well when they don't turn it over... and they shouldn't have that issue against UMass. They should get to 40 points with relative ease. UMass has a horrific offense but they should be able to find the end zone a couple times against a less than stellar EMU defense. So, what are we looking at? 44-14 EMU win? Yeah, that will get us there.

Oklahoma State at Baylor under 55.5: This is going to be a fantastic football game and I have no idea who wins... but I do think the under is the right play here. Both teams have solid defenses (ignore week one for OSU... that was an outlier) and I don't see both teams getting to 30. Oklahoma State has the ability to score the ball but I'm confident that Dave Aranda will have a game plan to keep them contained. On the other side, Baylor's offense is one of the worst teams in country in chunk plays. They might find a way to move the ball, but they'll chew up clock in the meantime. These teams played twice last season and the totals were 38 and 37. I expect more of the same this week.

Iowa State -3 at Kansas: Kansas is much improved and one of the coolest stories in college football. Lance Leipold has done an incredible job. Both of these things are true, but we really need to tap the brakes on the Jayhawks. They're still not a very good team and I think there's been a lot of overreaction to their hot start. Iowa State has the much better defense and offensive line and enough weapons to expose a poor Kansas defense. The magic ends on Saturday. Take the Cyclones to cover.

Northwestern +25.5 at Penn State: Look, I know Northwestern is bad and I know they just lost back to back games against Southern Illinois and Miami Ohio. I want to puke placing a wager on this team. The reality is, I think they're bad, but I don't think they're as bad as they've looked the last two weeks. Penn State will absolutely beat them. But by 25+ points with Michigan looming on the schedule next week? I lean no. I think the Cats will do just enough to hang around and cover this big number. A 42-17 Nittany Lions win is still a cover for us.
