Read the John Grisham book, "Playing For Pizza." A minor character in the book is an Italian who went to school at A&M and fell in love with U.S. football. Grisham did refer to him as the "Texas Aggie."

don't ask me why I know this, but she says something to the effect of being in a small town in the middle of nowhere, like college station. This was after her divorce to Lyle.

In the old movie "What's Up Doc" the Barbara Streisand character, Judy, lists TAMU as one of her schools.
