Medians was not the issue, because they are moving Shipwreck into that space. Aren't they both owned by the same family?
The restaurant business is hard in the best of times. A slight adjustment to the cost of food, supplies, labor, or rent will kill a lot of them. Especially local places that can't rely on more successful stores in other locations to offset temporary (?) increases.
I should've put a winky face beside that one. Yes, husband and wife own the pair is my understanding.

Howdy's was COVID. The others are more recent, like in the past 12-18 months, IIRC. Can't blame COVID for World of Beer or Mr. Hamburger.

Who knows (hoping against hope).
Imperial is having a soft reopening. One of the owners left and there's been some slight changes to the menu. I'm hoping to get over there in the next week or so.
La Bodega has signs up at old Mad Taco.
News reports say MOD pizza parent company is declaring chapter 11 this coming week. Unclear if all or some locations will close. Would seem unlikely that all would close in a chapter 11.

My wife still misses the street corn pizza from Howdy's.
So good. The Blue Baker one is okay but not nearly as good.
I like a lot of things at Blue Baker but man their prices have soared.

Exactly! These closings have everything to do with the horrific Biden economy and nothing to do with medians, our demographics, or local policies. This is not normal for all these businesses to close here. I've been here over 30 years. This is the worst economy in almost 100 years!
There are many more businesses that are missing from that list.
