We are targeting late August. We will be making an announcement accordingly.
There will be three culinary practice days during training lead up. Friends and family will be followed by an industry dinner service the next day. We usually execute our openings quietly and let word of mouth spread with a Grand opening announcement a little later after some reps.......
If not, there's a Gattis in Brenham. That would be a nice weekend drive.
Kay Jewelers store going in the center behind Napa Flats. Did the one at the mall close?
Where did you see the COCS proposing to charge for parking in Southside historical area? I agree with this in that area. I would hate to see that open lot and feel turn into a high rise (which it will no doubt have to be). If anything I'd be more open towards the city investing in money to replace the parking lot with a green space/general use space out there. I'm sure they could charge to host various events out there year-round to earn some revenue off it, including designated tailgate spots on gamedays for large groups, etc.
The Gattis in Brenham is very, very nice. Lots of games and even has a water fountain exhibit.phillytex24 said:

Woodie…. City Staff brought up charging for football weekends when they pitched their "pilot program" for "congestion control" to council. They're pretty fond of OPM.

It's the same name as the one by Sweet Eugene's on Harvey Rd. Not sure if they're moving or opening a second location.

I think they are holding the lot at the corner of University and College for another midrise type development. I think it would be a perfect location for a Trader Joes with some apartments on top.
