Those medians killed it.
I can never tell if these are serious comments or jokes. Obviously Amico Nave was closed for other reasons; otherwise they wouldn't be moving Shipwreck Grill over to that building.
Go back and read the owner's comments about the medians in the kbtx story on the matter. He didn't seem to be joking about the medians being detrimental to the business of Amico Nave.
The full quote is:
Quote:
We have some shiny new medians out front that have been extremely hard and devastating to revenues.
But that all gets thrown out the window if they're moving Shipwreck Grill to the spot, which means at least one of the following:
1. It was tongue-in-cheek and not to be taken at face value.
2. Turns out the medians were not actually a significant factor in the closure of Amico Nave.
3. Moving Shipwreck Grill over to that side is some sort of long con that involves taxpayer money, knowing that it would fail.
I don't think anyone would actually suggest #3 is true, so it was tongue-in-cheek or the medians weren't really a big issue. I'm sure the
construction of the medians (construction always hurts) but the medians themselves did not hurt business.
How you can reconcile "medians hurt my business" while moving Shipwreck Grill to the building?
