Just because you fail at it doesn't make corruption/crime ok.

If it makes you feel better, that's what the $300k was for.

At the end of the day, he's at a substantial net loss. Lesson learned.

Or, further political tarnishing avoided.

You choose.
Who we are is God's gift to us. What we become is our gift to God.

It was bad enough, hence the reason why he took a plea deal. he didn't pay the restitution and do community service out of the goodness of his heart. It was to avoid trial.

Instead of accepting politicians committing fraud folks should be demanding better.

You know who isn't better by any measurable standard ever created?

Paxton's democratic opponent.

He just hired the "cocks not glocks" chick that organized all of the protests on tu's campus a few years back to be his political advisor in his quest to draft gun control legislation. Your soy boy that has had an incalculable amount of weiners go soft in his mouth doesn't even pretend to hide what he is or what he is wanting to do.

Cocks not glocks!

It would be nice if people had any understanding of politics throughout history and gave up on this notion that it was somehow this respected genteel arena full of nothing but the most virtuous of men who truly wanted to serve society and that the fact that we have less than stellar politicians in office is somehow a new phenomenon.

So much this last paragraph.

They are, every last one of them, sociopaths.

They crave power so badly that they are willing to do anything to get it, and even more to keep it.

All of them. Regardless of party.

So as I've said before, our job is to elect the ones that will vote for policies we support.

Period

This.

I don't really care how "morally upstanding" a (D) is. Their whole platform is f'n terrible and unAmerican. You'd pretty much have to either hate America or be mentally impaired to vote for them.

You mention God in your message ( at the bottom) but you don't seem to get that Talarico is a fraudulent Christian and that to me is worse fraud, preaching false words and twisting the Bible to his liberal and crazy beliefs. Leading others astray.

Only in your mind.

You're not changing a single mind here by posting the daily blast from the Talafreako campaign.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

What does Paxton acquiring properties have to do with anything?

Seems you just want to latch on whatever the smear du jour is.

Meanwhile, a creepy heretic who has no real world experience is trying to become the marxist Senator of a conservative state. No, thanks.

I don't often get absolutely creeped out by a human being, but this Talarico guy is so God blessed creepy. And the things that come out of his mouth are so damn bizarre. It is not normal. It is not comfortable. It is not Texas. I'm not even sure he would even fit in with the weirdos in California.

I'm sorry, but he has a has an Effeminate pedo vibe or a Dexter vibe. Kinda both.

He makes Beto seem normal.
If you don't have anything nice to say about anybody, come sit by me.

The media have sure whipped him up to be the best thing that ever happened to the world. Most of the stupid voting white women swoon over him.
This one's going to be tighter than races against Cruz. Paxton has some baggage and hasn't run a very good campaign yet. He needs to be pounding the pavement much more and getting out there.

I won't answer the question on everyones' mind. How did he acquire his real estate portfolio that is spread across five states on a TAG salary? He owns:
  • Texas: 5 homes
  • Florida: 3 homes
  • Utah: 4 condominiums (located at the luxury Black Desert Resort in Ivins) and a plot of land
  • Oklahoma: 1 lodge/cabin (located in Broken Bow)
  • Hawaii: 1 undeveloped plot of land

I don't know anything about the man's real estate portfolio or the values, but if someone sets out with a goal of owning a lot of real estate, it's not necessarily that hard to accomplish. That's particularly true if the real estate is income generating.

Sort of related to Paxton v Talarico because this puritan Republican BS is turning Texas bluer. Gonzales really screwed the GOP in Texas because the last guy standing, AKGuy, might lose too. He doesn't have the endorsement of Sanderson County Sheriff Thaddeus C. Cleveland! Therefore, it's an uphill campaign to shake the Democrat off. Latest polls are tight. But maybe AKGuy will work harder than Paxton is.

1) Gonzales screwed the GOP by siding with the Dems on several border security and gun control issues (not to mention being a POS sexual predator, using his position to get interns to capitulate to sleeping with him).

2) Given his recent public statements, I don't think a conservative candidate would want the endorsement of Thaddeus C. Cleveland.

3) Given all of his public statements, Talarico will work hard. For things no conservative Texan wants.

people acquire real estate in many different ways. A lot of times with leverage. Is owning property now against the law? Or are you simply jealous he built a real estate portfolio while you have not?

I own plenty of real estate, but I don't need 5 homes in Texas, 3 in Florida, and a bunch of condos in Utah. Regardless of me, paxton will not answer the charge Talarico made and that makes paxton look bad to the low IQ voters he'll need to win. Paxton could have answered the charge just like you did and it would be good enough for 90% of his voters. Instead, he leaves it hanging out there when asked, deflecting to 'this is about public safety' TWICE!

He didn't answer not because he's guilty of anything. He didn't answer because he hasn't prepared an answer because he's a lazy candidate.

I assume you know he held multiple roles in the working world as a corporate attorney, in-house counsel, and owned his own law firm for over a decade before he got into politics, right? Unlike your boy Talarico, he had a real job that he would have made enough money from to be able to afford to invest well and buy real estate if he wanted to. Talarico is still sharing an account with his mom and has a billionaire (likely) pedophile buddy of Epstein bankrolling his campaign.
