Terrell is not south Texas but would be ripe for corruption and bribes when youre on the border and your county is the 37th least populous county in the entire United States while also geographically being very large
Cornyn is disgusting. He could not care less about all the parents, J6ers & many other decent American citizens targeted by a weaponized government under Biden. Can’t wait for him to go. These entitled, elitist traitors do jot have the consent of the governed. https://t.co/nbthpzG6bT

Another example of Paxton and by extension his office being for sale.Quote:
Last month, Attorney General Ken Paxton waded into the explosive college football saga involving Brendan Sorsby, the Texas Tech University quarterback who had admitted to placing thousands of improper sports bets, including on his own team's games, resulting in the NCAA declaring him ineligible to play.
In a June 11 letter, Paxton's office warned the Big 12 Conference on behalf of Texas Tech that any move to sanction the university for fielding Sorsby would be "unlawful" and potentially expose it to $200 million in damages.
One day before he sent that letter, Texas Tech Board of Regents Chair Cody Campbell, one of Sorsby's most public defenders, donated $274,300 to a fundraising committee supporting Paxton in his bid for U.S. Senate, according to campaign finance records newly filed with the Federal Election Committee Wednesday.

Only reason DOJ stopped their investigation was because Trump was getting inuaguarted that week. There was no reason to go forward because the new DOJ would have stopped it or Trump would have pardoned him.
Or maybe its because it was just a political witch hunt
Yeah. He's squeaky clean. LMAO

Paxton is a slimy turd.
That doesn't mean he committed these felonies he was accused of.

Cornyn voted something like 96% with Trump.
And worked behind the scenes to kill 70% if what he wanted. So well known he was boooed offstage in a Republican event.
Kind of left off that part.
No, he didn't.
You can dislike Cornyn all you want. But, don't make up *****..
He is a conservative but a VERY mushy MAGA.
However, he wasn't trying to kill 70% (or anything NEAR that percent) of the Trump priorities...

Never said he was and I don't care if he was or not. That's what you don't get....he was not convicted in a court of law and he is good at fighting democrats. THATS ALL WE CARE ABOUT
Yep.
He seems slimy as an eel and I wouldn't be surprised if he's absolutely despicable to be around. And yet, he's still 100x a better choice than any modern Dem, and 1000x better than Talarico.

And Cornyn would be just like Mitch and the others who kiss the democrats toes
Meh...
Cornyn voted something like 96% with Trump.
Paxton will probably vote 99.9% with Trump.
If Paxton loses, Texas will have a senator who votes 0% with Trump.
The primary voters should have picked HUNT if they wanted an easily electable, very conservative candidate that wasn't Cornyn, who would ALSO vote probably 99.1% with Trump.
When you are in leadership roles like Cornyn, it is less important to look at how often he "voted with Trump" and more important to look at how many times he made sure that legislation he disagreed with Trump on never came up for a vote in the first place. And yes, I think Hunt would have been better and voted for him in the primary. But given the runoff choice between Cornyn and Paxton, Paxton was the only reasonable choice. If Paxton loses to Talarico, it won't be because of some burst of democratic enthusiasm, it will be because butthurt Cornyn supporters decide to stay home.
Yeah...
There's no chance that some Republicans really dislike Paxton because of his baggage. Or that independents think the same way. It's ONLY butthurt Cornyn supporters...
Then how did Paxton win 3 state wide races in 2014, 2018, and 2022?

Google's pretty easy
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton was impeached by the state House of Representatives in May 2023 on 20 articles including bribery, abuse of public trust, obstruction of justice, and retaliation against whistleblowers. The charges primarily alleged that Paxton misused his office to protect a political donor, real estate developer Nate Paul, in exchange for personal favors like home renovations and employment for a woman with whom he had an affair. Additionally, he was accused of attempting to impede an ongoing securities fraud case against him.

Or how about him threatening the Big 12 if they refused to play Tech one day after he was given 250k by Cody Campbell

It's okay to say "Yeah, he's corrupt, but still better than Talarico."

No, I'm not. Just can't believe in 2026 people are still defending blatant corruption because it's their team.

Why is it so important to you for anybody else to say this?
JUST IN: Reid Hoffman donates another $10 million to James Talarico’s Texas Senate campaign.
