It's their own fault. They run Texas Tribune, AP articles, etc with a liberal slant. Editorials from liberals. Not enough local news. People walked away from their subscriptions because they aren't paying for liberal slop.

Jazzy Crockett has said he will not go around the state and hold Talerico's hand. She will NOT campaign with him - and I don't blame her after that stunt he pulled on a cancelled night show. I don't see it.

The guy has lied on national TV - The View and Colbert. The leftist shills will not do a follow up question on their side's lies.

Here is the thing… it's a primary… I didn't vote in the primary, because I was out of town… and I didn't feel like going to the courthouse before… but come November, you can bet my red hiney will be there to vote against takerico, along with another 500k Texans who stayed home for the primary

This. Dems need a huge turnout from the black population and win over the Hispanics AND get a huge turnout from them.

They will not get either one of those things. I can see the Dem getting majority of the Hispanic vote but not a huge one and not a huge turnout from them.

On the black front, for one they wanted Crockett and feel they got cheated, she is actively screaming it out loud and it is not helping the freak with blacks. The Dem will win 85 to 90% of the black vote, the problem is they will not turnout In large numbers

Hispanics will not turnout in large numbers for a gay trans loving freak

This race might be similar to the Beto one but Paxton will win by more than what Cruz did. I am going to guess Paxton by 400k +, probably a lot more

WOW! James Talarico just packed the Plano Event Center in Collin Countyblew the roof off Ken Paxton's own backyardwith 4,000+ people, standing room only, and lines wrapped around the building.

This is the county that launched Paxton's career, the same county where his securities fraud mugshot was taken 15 minutes up the road, and the same county Republicans called "unflippable."

And a Democrat just brought the house down in it.

Talarico looked at that crowd and said what we're all thinking: "They're afraid of this movement. They're afraid of this crowd in Plano, Texas."

Damn right they are.

Paxton's out here calling him "Talafreakco" like a middle school bully while Talarico's selling "I'm a Talafreako" shirts and outraising every Senate campaign in Texas history.

First quarter: $28 million, more than double Beto and Colin Allred combined.

Real men don't lie and cheat their way through life. They don't scam their own friends for a quick buck. They don't serve themselvesthey serve others. Ken Paxton has escaped accountability for 4,000+ days. But accountability is coming November 3.

Democrats, pay attention. This is what it looks like when you run on corruption, not away from it. This is what it looks like when you fight in their backyard and win the crowd.

The suburbs are shifting. Collin County is shifting. Texas is shifting.

Meh...

Cornyn voted something like 96% with Trump.

Paxton will probably vote 99.9% with Trump.

If Paxton loses, Texas will have a senator who votes 0% with Trump.

The primary voters should have picked HUNT if they wanted an easily electable, very conservative candidate that wasn't Cornyn, who would ALSO vote probably 99.1% with Trump.

When you are in leadership roles like Cornyn, it is less important to look at how often he "voted with Trump" and more important to look at how many times he made sure that legislation he disagreed with Trump on never came up for a vote in the first place. And yes, I think Hunt would have been better and voted for him in the primary. But given the runoff choice between Cornyn and Paxton, Paxton was the only reasonable choice. If Paxton loses to Talarico, it won't be because of some burst of democratic enthusiasm, it will be because butthurt Cornyn supporters decide to stay home.

The Texas Rangers had made a very good case against KP for selling securities without a license. In TX we actually have SEC violations codified that can be prosecuted in state court. The appointed special prosecutors were tired of not getting paid and having to take the Collin County Commissioners all the way to the Court of Criminal Appeals to get paid what they could get paid, which was still less than what they should have been paid.

So they let KP plead to misdemeanors, which he accepted. But those should have been felonies, for which he would have received probation.

There was criminal conduct with his dealings with his girlfriend and the Austin developer who his girlfriend worked for. If you remember, KP got her the job with the developer so she would have freedom during working hours to meet KP for their tryst. Nothing illegal about that but KP doing favors for the developer in exchange for the developer remodeling KP's Austin house was criminal. I have no idea why that was not prosecuted but it was investigated.

And he would not have gone to prison for that either. But it could have been used to revoke his probation on the TX SEC violations and that would have sent him to prison.

I tire of some on here throwing the "liberal" word at people who they disagree with. There obviously are some liberals on TexAgs. I'm not one of them but I do not blindly follow anyone just because of his political party. But I will very reluctantly vote for KP. We must hold that Senate seat.

That's a lot of words to say that he didn't go to prison because nothing happened that warranted such a sentence. You've decided you know more than the justice system, hence my use of the L word. You sound exactly like the hard core Trump haters who screech about 34 felony convictions without a hint of understanding of how that happened. It's a silly argument. He's not in prison because the legal system didn't see fit to put him there. The law matters, the rest is mindless drivel.

Ken Paxton has never been convicted of misdemeanors. He has never entered a plea in any case. He was also never on probation, so it could never have been revoked.

Ken Paxton is a slimy person. But, lying about him to emphasize that is wrong.

It's simply a sad state of affairs that when the democrats are putting up a truly terrible candidate the best the GOP can give us is Ken Paxton.

I could throw a rock and probably hit somebody that is just as conservative as Paxton but not a slime ball.

Agreed.

But Paxton will fight liberal/socialist stupidity. He already has.

Talarico will literally do the opposite. He thinks there are multiple genders beyond two. He thinks Islam and Christianity are the same for salvation--as a pastor of Christianity!! He thinks it's fine for children to get transitioned for reasons. He thinks abortion is healthcare and biblical.

Paxton might be a scumbag in his personal life, but if I'm choosing between the two choices we have, there's no the majority of Texans are voting for Beto 2.0.

The Texas GOP isn't "giving" us anybody.

There was an open, free and fair election. There were other candidates and the people voted for Paxton.

There was even a runoff after that, and the people voted for Paxton.

He may not have been your choice, but he is clearly the choice of the Republican voters in Texas.

That might be true or it might be an excuse to politicize an otherwise dead investigation, we'll never know. Corruption of the legal process is a hallmark of the Obama/Biden era and here we are. That speculation even if true doesn't change the facts.

You're right, nor do I care because it doesn't change anything. You're still asserting as fact what is undeniably your opinion. Paxton would be in jail if only something that either isn't true or didn't happen had gone differently. Ok? That and $7 will get you a cup of Starbucks.
