It's honestly the best play. It's Texas and that **** doesn't fly. We character assassinated Beto, Allred, and the others. Stop running freaks.

if this thread is any indication, we're well past character assassination at this point, we're swan diving straight into talarico derangement syndrome

It's mor like ILPDS

Insane Liberal Policy Derangement Syndrome

I have it, and fully admit it. I happen to think women's bathrooms are for women, and it doesn't take a biologist to figure that one out.

The socialist voter base is government-dependent poors who want free stuff. The non-socialist base is tax payers who realize government is too big, inefficient, and ineffective at everything and supporting too many free loaders- they want it smaller with lower taxes.

But all the polls always tell you the "no degree" category heavily favors the non-socialist party and the "bachelors+" heavily favors the socialists. It's counterintuitive.

Could it be that middle and upper middle class tax payers don't respond to polls, skewing the bachelors+ poll from the non-socialist party? Could it also be the welfare recipients of the harvested voter base in inner cities also don't get polled, skewing the "no degree" category away from the socialist party? Or are assumptions like this built into their models? Or are the polls just manipulative psy op propaganda to make people think the way they want them to think?

Some Dems will stay home too. Yes there are people who would vote for an imbecile as long as they have a D or R next to their name. But once all the oppo research comes out on Talarico, it will cause somewhere around 2-4% of Dems to stay home. I agree it will be close but the backlash against Paxton will be mitigated somewhat by the fact Talarico will lose moderate Dems.

What do you think is going to make any Dem voters stay home and not vote for Talarico?

I think this race will be interesting because a lot of the Cornyn votes were pretty strong anti-Paxton votes. And I think Talarico is going to be boring and bland enough that he's not going to turnoff those voters that much.

Some people don't view abortion rights for trans people, God being non-binary, Jesus helping with white guilt, and all the other woke stuff as boring and bland. They view it as non-serious as to the real world problems they face. Those are not issues that resonate with some people and even democrat strategists are starting to publicly acknowledge as much. B

How about even money bet? Paxton is going to smoke that fake vegan Low T child mutilator. Every poll favoring Talarico is going to tank once his fake Christian drivel starts going viral to a broader audience.

The future of the GOP is going to be largely populist, at least publicly. The defense guys and the pharma guys will still get theirs behind the curtain, but the GOP is the only party that is positioned to champion the hard working, patriotic, 40-hour-week worker.

And:
1) There are a **** ton of them.
2) They vote.
why would i take this bet? i've already stated in this thread i think paxton still wins, albeit by a closer margin than the other races

I know Christians who will still vote for pro-abortion candidates, but the trans degeneracy is way, way too far. Mutilating children is not a mainstream position, and it isn't close.

but you know despite the wild ass crap that tallrico has spewed on recorded presbyterian sermons, on recorded podcasts, or posted on twitter/X in the past, he's going to walk back things and pretend to be moderate for the next five months. Not just the paxton campaign, but all conservative pacs- even those that backed corn brisket- are going to have to keep the energy up - keep exposing who this psycho nut bar really is and don't let people forget.

paxton likely still wins after trump and national republicans inevitably step in to bail him out, but by a closer margin than any of the other texas races

It'll be a 15-20 point win. It won't be close.

It's not going to be by that much but I still think Texas isn't ready to elect someone like talarico. We seem to have cheating under control as well in Texas and that's the dem's kryptonite. If they can't cheat they have a hard time winning.
Unfortunately I think it'll be within 5 points though. But since we can quit counting on election night Paxton should be ok.

A) He's not black, and

If you are Christian, and are following the worlds culture to vote for a pro-abortion candidate, is it really that different to vote for a candidate that supports trans degeneracy?

The real problem for the Ds is that Talafreako won't drive black turnout like Crockett would have. There are no races on the ballot that particularly move the needle racially, so I expect to see lower black turnout.

To me? No.

But there are black democrats who have gone along with abortion as the status quo but see trans and gender issues as a leap to the abnormal.

'Equitable education' also won't sell to suburban soccer moms.

Quote:

MAYA, with Talarico's help, worked to bring critical race theory and DEI to Texas schools, particularly during the height of the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020, when it partnered with public school districts like Snyder Independent School District in West Texas to support "diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts." In Austin, where Talarico lives, it promoted a series of monthly "RaceTalks" organized by the local public school district's "Race Equity Council" that called on parents to "explore" their "pushback and triggers and name systemic barriers that form as a result." The firm also contributed $5,000 to the left-wing nonprofit Austin Justice Coalition around the same time the coalition called to defund the Austin Police Department.

I do admit, democrats attempt to make him some land man esque West Texas Texan has been pretty fun to watch. He has literally flipped on every position he has pushed since in office bc they think they can sway voters. I honestly think he will do worse then Beto, Hagar, and Allred. At heart he is a pro transing of the kids, anti 2nd amendment, pro abortion, higher taxes, open borders, anti beef, anti O&G candidate. Texas voters see through his bull***** Their only fight on Paxton is he got divorced and gave a plea deal to a pedo.
