Key notes from Buchanan’s thoughts on Adams

• No. 21 is Tyree Adams. Big dude with good, quick feet. He transferred from LSU, but he never played against the Aggies. I called Scott Rabalais, and he said that LSU’s best offensive lineman wouldn't be playing because he was banged up. I asked him who it was, and he told me it was Adams. When I saw that he was coming here, I was excited. I never got to see him play, but a guy who is from Louisiana is saying that he is the best o-lineman on the team. That was his first year as a starter, and he was replacing Will Campbell, who was taken fourth overall in the previous draft.
   
• If A&M’s O-line is a strength, they will go 10-2 or better. He’s a big dude who was a four-star coming out of high school in New Orleans. At that time, he was the No. 22 offensive line prospect in the country, and I believe that he was underrated. I had never gotten to see him play. I never paid attention to LSU football, but I would have paid attention to him against A&M. If he had lined up across Cashius Howell, it would have been a more difficult night for Howell. 
   
• I was told that the offensive line coach at LSU was not popular. He was not retained. If you have one weak link in an o-line, it will mess up the whole line. I have an open mind about Adams, Coen Echols, Wilkin Formby and Trovon Baugh.
   
• You can say what you want about LSU and Brian Kelly. They didn't recruit bad players. Maybe there were problems with development at LSU, but I am sure that Adams has all of the tools, or Mike Elko would not have brought him in. At our Preseason Kickoff, we hosted the people who had Adams at their table and gushed about him.
   
• Personally, I dont remember how I voted, but I definitely have Adams at my No. 2-rated O-lineman.
