Agree, and anecdotally I can confirm Talarico is wasting money on ads as I am getting a bunch on TV/youtube etc (spoiler, I am voting against him).

The coastal dems who part with their money for candidates in Texas tend to waste their money trying to 'flood the zone' to produce decent polls in late summer/early fall, and the GOP tends to push up voter motivation toward November. I don't know if that is always intentional but I have noticed it since at least abortion barbie was the 'hot new idea' their funding teams latched onto over 10 years ago.
