Cornyn had proven over his several terms in office that he was NOT the right guy to represent Texas. He was a critical cog in the feckless republican senate leadership that has betrayed the interests of conservatives for at least two decades. What is the point of voting for him over Talarico when we know who he is and know that he wouldn't stand behind conservative legislation, even on 80/20 issues? Texas needed somebody besides Cornyn representing them in the Senate. I voted for Hunt in the primary, but will vote for Paxton in the general because he will without a doubt be better than Cornyn in representing the needs of Texans.

This. Paxton hasn't put up a single billboard I'm aware of showing Talarico's own words. "I love trans children" will at some point end up on a billboard in Dallas and this election will be over. He's going to lose in embarrassing fashion, but he'll be rich so that's good. Well done, Democrats.
